I'm so early in looking into O/U shotguns that I can't even say I'm looking into O/U shotguns yet.

I'm considering something that I can use for skeet and trap and am curious where something like this fits into the grand scheme of things both in terms of its viability/functionality for either or both disciplines and as a reasonable price:quality shotgun. I've seen this same gun, the 505 ERD Combo, under the Bear Arms name as well as Catma Arms, around the $CA1700 price point in 12ga with both double and single barrels (28") included.

General (or specific) thoughts? I know I'll only use it a handful of times/year so don't need to invest a kidney in a clays gun.
 
I wouldn't recommend purchasing a "who ever heard of them?" shotgun.
It is difficult enough to get service and support for prominent brand firearms in Canada.

I would tend to agree with him/her/it
- I don't like the be the guinea pig for things (unless I get a stupid discount on it)

Had to look it up, as I never heard of the name

For something that's just going to be used a few time a year... why no get a general purpose O/U with removable chokes?
 
For around $1700 Id be looking at used Cynergy, Citori or 686. Whatever fits you better. On a used B gun resell value being a known positive, where on a renamed Turk gun your going too loose a ton if you try too sell it.
As others have pointed out parts and service on a Beretta or browning will be a lot easier to get down the road.

Boy oh Boy what a stupid looking piece of junk that looks like . as the others have said buy a well known shotgun from a well known maker . parts service no ? UGLY UGLY .

Lipstick on a pig
Another less than entry level gun painted up to look the part I would bet any money take it to the trap club for a day of shooting and it would not make 500 rounds before it failed
 
These types of comments are exactly why I asked. Shooting clays is new to me and this gun could either be the cat's ass...or what comes out of one. I've been a pro photographer for 30+ years, shooting primarily pro sports, live music and portraits. If I need to photograph something I've never shot before, I ask the people who know; just like here.
