2023 SHOT Show: Savage Arms New 2023

North American Hunting Supplies is the only certified Turqua Rifle distributor in Canada.

The fact that Savage/Stevens has decided to take Turqua on as their own is very cool indeed!.....:)

Savage makes some very nice and accurate firearms.......:)

Looks like they did not make a bunch of these ones but instead bought them..

Race to the bottom? What will set them apart from the other Turkisch offerings sold under different brands but coming from the same Turkisch factories?

Not bashing all Turkisch guns by the way, I have a Stoeger M3K myself : )

Have you ever completely disassembled one of those? Not a fan of the design.

Been inside a few of those myself, including a 64A-shaped rustlump a buddy found in a ditch, plastic mag and all. Soaked it, beat it open, got it apart, scratched down to a functional degree and the damn thing would shoot. Bore was surprisingly good considering her hard life. When disassembling, one must be mindful to not bend or lose the "ejector wire"! :)

When I was a kid, I had a Winchester 490 - much the same gun but with some stylish touches. Bit of a "lipsticked pig" scenario. I'm thinking we're seeing history repeating itself here. Savage is evidently going for the tactical rifle buyers using what they have.

The 64 on display has an MDT grip and MDT rail.
The stock, though plastic, looks distinctly reminiscent of MDT styling as well.
Don't know much about the 64 action, if I want a SA22, the 10/22 platform is home for me.
I'm hoping that a similarly reminiscent offering for that platform emerges sooner than later.

Yes, we are making that one for Savage, it's a cool product, and will be the ground work for some other stuff we have brewing.

Why can't they just bring back the Stevens 200.... without the Made in Turkey, sorry the 334 is a pass.

Still waiting for an Impulse carbine, 18" with iron sights and the detachable 10-rd mag, in .308 or bigger

I imagine an ultra light impulse would sell.

Impulse action

Composite stock

16" carbon fibre barrel in .308, 6.5 CM, others

Integral rail on aluminum receiver

AICS mag

Iron sights (rear sight at front of rail, front sight at the base of the threaded muzzle)

One can dream.

Can someone please explain the made in Turkey complex?

Is it politics? Am I missing something?

Lot's of manufactures are using Turkish shotguns and rifles. Savage, Mossberg, Winchester, Turqua, ATA Arms, Revolution Armory, Lazer Arms, Canuck, Hatsun and several others.

They are affordable and some of the models (not all), are of good quality.

I'm definitely missing something here?

Two words for Turkey - Quality control. Do I have turkish firearms? Yes… Would I ever trust one on a high dollar hunt or in a life and death situation? Never.

At the price point they are great but don’t expect to get Beretta or Tikka reliability from the Turks. Yes, I have seen dozens of stoegers blow up in the blind.

Just picked up a 110 ultralight carbon predator and it’s a very nice gun.
Light as a feather and it points so nice.
Can’t get no ammo or brass though.. lol
