I recently acquired a Imperial Magnum Corporation made rifle in 338 Imperial Magnum.

Barreled actions were manufactured by Sako and were fitted with McMillan or Pacific Research stocks by IMC.

The rifle I have is #7 of the 13 made and I received it from the original owner who ordered it from Aubrey White. The rifle only has 69 rounds down the tube, all of which were meticulously documented and noted in a log book which I was also given. The rifle has shot a few loads into .249” - .279” 4 shot groups.

I also received all the original brass from when the rifle was ordered as well as the original rifle box.

I’m looking to see if anyone else out there has one of these rifles/cartridges or if anyone has any experience with them. The rifles seem to be extremely well made and the fit and finish is custom rifle level.

I did a bunch of load development on one, for another cgn'er. I was thinking of buying it, and he was kind enough to let me try it out (thx again Rick). Stock design didn't work me, and the recoil was brutal to my fat face. Ballistically it was on a par with my 338 Lapua, and a little faster than my 340. Nicely put together rifle. FWIW - dan

I am going to be less than helpful, but there was a seller in the EE selling new brass last year. There are a few pages of articles on the net about them, sadly I gave all the promotional material I had on them to another cartridge collector. I did stumble over loading data online somewhere though. There has been a 311 for sale in BC for over a year, which keeps tempting me.

I have one of the rifles in 360 imperial magnum. It was Aubrey Whites personal rifle. I love mine, as good as any other custom rifle I have had. puts 3, 250 gr. speers into a ragged hole at 200 yards. The factory brass was very soft and Aubrey recommended finding a harder brass. Remington or bertram works good. For your rifle just order 338 edge brass (ADG makes it). Shoulder angle is only 2 degrees different, Full length size and your in business. I replaced the original brake with a heathen, much more effective and you dont get any concusion coming back at you.

Don't feel bad, was going to say the same thing....
Was tossing the idea about for the collection, but too spendy for the shoe box presentation display case.

I’m in the process now of trying to locate some 338 edge brass.

Definitely well put together rifles. On par with many customs I’ve handled.

I’m still going back and forth with keeping the package.

Call Gary at Big horn sale in houston B.C. or GoBig tactical. One of them usually stocks it.
