My old Stand to for cast bullets has finally left these earthly realms and he’s left not only a friendship void but also a huge void in bullets. I primarily run cast in every thing from 32acp to 455 Webley, with most points inbetween. Is there a manufacturer of good cast bullets in Canada that actually has stock???

Cheers

I bought from Prairie Projectiles before at a gunshow. Haven't ordered online from him though. Not sure if he has everything that you're after. I miss Jet Bullets already

I've bought from Prairie Projectiles on 4 occasions, great quality both plain cast and powder coated. Its easier to buy at the Brooks Gunshow but he does ship from Stettler AB. . He also has a web site. Highly recommended.

I have sold some of my molds to a gentleman who is planning to sell some bullets occasionally. He is still getting set up but when he's ready we will hear about it.

I'm hoping to see him at the Lethbridge Gun show again this year. Ask him about any plans to expand or if it's more of a hobby?

I have lots of cast bullets in stock & can order in others.
Please check out my website.

Regards, Henry

I've ordered some of the "common" sizes from Budget before. Mainly I shoot cast in things like the Carcano that requires a bit more "specialty sized" bullet

Didn't see him at the Lethbridge gun show, and I was looking for him but it might have missed him given the unbelievable attendance there yesterday! In talking to him in the past, it appears casting is not his day job.

Ya I looked around there too and didn't see him on my 2 full laps of the place. Talking about cast bullets, I saw a number of tables with projectiles (some plated, some cast) in ziploc bags, but ZERO information about what they were. No diameter listed, no weight listed. A few times I asked, but if the seller was busy talking it wasn't worth it to interrupt them to ask a question that could have been solved by a Sharpie marker before the show. Things like that confuse me, but maybe because I've only been in the shooting sports for ~15 years not 50+ years like some of the folks, I can't immediately spot what the projectile is like they can?

Have you looked into what is being done with your friends molds and casting pot?

If you can procure them then every time you cast a batch you can think about your friendship.

This is how I feel about the Husqvarna chainsaw I was given, every time I start it up to go cut wood I think back to my grandpa, makes the work a lot more enjoyable.

Every gun show I go to has a good amount of tables selling cast bullets and I usually find the common calibers, but in the last few months I got into my own casting and recently powder coating. A few steps to learn but not really that difficult in the over all picture of things.

I've bought from Prairie Projectiles as well, and also Jet Bullets when he was still commercially producing and selling bullets. Both are great guys that I am happy to give my money to for their products.

Gave prairie projectiles a try in Stettler AB.
After very poor costumer service I will be getting my cast projectiles from anyone else! Besides being extremely hard to deal with, I was shorted on my order. After telling prairie projectiles that my order was short,
“ Yes, I am concerned about the count. The next run that I do,I will verify that the scale isn't broken.”
3 weeks later, no reply!!!

I've never used Prairie Projectiles mail order so I can't comment on that. I bought from him at a gunshow or two and both times had a couple extra projectiles in each bag

Unfourtantly the same experience here, when I questioned him on what type of powder coating he used on his bullets I was politely told to shop elsewhere

good to hear someone has taken up the torch , good luck in your recovery.

In this sport, "reliable supply" is a term only relevant for a few months. That's a major reason why I cast bullets and have a pile of alloy.
