The SL8-1 like you have pictured is made for US market in order to fit some import definitions they were made to only accept a single stack magazine and have one lug alterted on the bolt to assist feeding from said single magazine.

The only thing I don't know is if the 2021-2022 production ones are still SL8-1.

The SL8's we see in Canada are often SL8-4 (Short rail) SL8-5 (Long rail) which feature G36 style bolts and double stack magazines.

The key differentiating features are...

The bolt (one lug is beveled, its one beside the extractor).

The the magazine is single stack/single feed.

The side of the reciever is indented at the magwell to fit the single stack magazines in the left side position.

Reciever is marked SL8 with gray furniture or SL8-1 with black furniture

There are only SL8-1 and SL-6 available in the US, they feed from a single stack magazine
