Potential hazard when firing the cz 600 models. Just posting for the well being of whoever has one of the new cz 600 models.

Oh I c. I was on the cz USA site and saw it. Had no idea it was old news.

They got recalled like a month after release. We didn't have Amy in canada yet, so all ones imported here all ready have the "fix". Personally I'm done buying cz products. Their quality is lowering, the materials used are cheapening, and they can't even get basic features working right. IMO the 600 line is their largest failure yet. Like for their price I'll just go get a Winchester model 70 feather weight.

It’s like CZ is going mad. It’s been sad to watch.

Buy a 557 before the remaining inventory is gone. They have really grown on me--both the short action DM models and the long action hinged steel floorplate models. Just as good as any Tikka, and all metal and walnut (unless you get synthetic ;) )

Quick question.. are the 557's similar to the Tika's in regards to the same bolt size for short and long actions?

No, the 557 comes in two action sizes, therefore two bolt sizes. Similar bolt head design, but the CZ action has more complex cuts/machining and includes integrated dovetails. While I owned several T3's, and they are solid performers, I prefer the CZ.
