I don't know how you do math, but none of my firearms will be "sold" to the government for less than full retail price paid, plus tax. If they aren't offering at least that much, they won't be getting anything of mine. I'd rather have them deactivated just to spite the fvckers....
I support this message and since I’m disabled they will have to come collect them. Which means min 4 officer, for 4 hours min, 2 vech, the drive to and from the storage centre, the cost of the storage centre. If everyone were to do this simple form of defiance, this program will spiral out of control (despite the fact that money doesn’t seem to mean anything to JT). Plus, if this buy back is as successful as the NZ one (which only had a rate of 20% return and still haven’t resolved the other 80% yet). Like you I’ll be asking for actual purchase price.
My math was simple, $1337 per AR/variant X 9 examples shown= $12033 in buy back credits...
I was just being cheeky pointing out how outrageous it is to think that the Gov would even dream that an owner would hand over such a wonderful collection for such an insult in return.

Nope, it is 1943 production, however it has been refinished in a modern Blue/Black product (Dura-Coat), in an effort to simulate WW II German Salt-Bluing. That's why it looks like a repro - the finish is too "perfect" due to it being a re-do. The rifle was a nearly "in the white" and quite rust-prone before the refinsh. The Magazine shows the original late-war Gray Parkerized finish found on many 1944 and '45 Stgs....

Even if you did hand them over, remember it's only the lower receiver that needs to be handed in. Keep everything else.
