It's been a few years since my last handgun purchase.. Just received my Transfer Notification for a new handgun. While I wait for the official registration certificate to arrive, can I take by new gun to the range or do I need an ATT? This is for Ontario.

interesting, just noticed the one im waiting on was submitted aug 22nd and is 6008### but hasn't been approved yet. oh well, should be any day now.

I have a 12(7) in progress, initially transferred in August, due to the extra bells and whistles the registry in Ottawa needs to process the registration transfer. I was told it used to take 3 days with the 12(7)s... My new license and related documents are all ready to be printed off at the AB CFO office. It's been in the hands of Ottawa since mid December. Everything is approved just need that last piece to be finished off!

Finally. Sept 21st order day. Got my transfer today. Alberta here, bought in Quebec at GNG. I also purchased a handgun in BC in August, and still hasnt been approved.

Transfer times are so unconsistant.
