Sunshine On My Prohibs Makes Me Happy..... Updt Pics Post 56 - ###y Submachine Guns!

That's a nice looking C8! You must have scored one of the better kits from Nordic Marksman when he brought in those chopped up LE carbines. I managed to score an unfired Upper, which I mated to a stripped Colt Canada/Diemaco Lower Receiver to complete the circa 2002 package. Those "surplus" C8 kits were an awesome score, as were the Dutch and SAS Contract over-runs! Ah, to be back in the day...

Thanks! I do agree those kits were a score, couldn't pass one up at the price. It's amazing how light and handy these old school carbines are. I was also saving up for one of the SAS over-runs but ended up with an x95 instead... oh well.

Buy-back value about 12K lol

I don't know how you do math, but none of my firearms will be "sold" to the government for less than full retail price paid, plus tax. If they aren't offering at least that much, they won't be getting anything of mine. I'd rather have them deactivated just to spite the fvckers....

I support this message and since I’m disabled they will have to come collect them. Which means min 4 officer, for 4 hours min, 2 vech, the drive to and from the storage centre, the cost of the storage centre. If everyone were to do this simple form of defiance, this program will spiral out of control (despite the fact that money doesn’t seem to mean anything to JT). Plus, if this buy back is as successful as the NZ one (which only had a rate of 20% return and still haven’t resolved the other 80% yet). Like you I’ll be asking for actual purchase price.

My math was simple, $1337 per AR/variant X 9 examples shown= $12033 in buy back credits...

I was just being cheeky pointing out how outrageous it is to think that the Gov would even dream that an owner would hand over such a wonderful collection for such an insult in return.

I wouldn't let them lay hands on those pieces either...

Why not? It's another new year in the safe without fresh air or sunshine. Plus it's time to pull them for a maintenance check...

And to jazz things up, here are some older Prohibs that have been Safe-Queens since 2005. These are my "Battle Rifles" (plus three .30 cal Assault Rifles) for today, listed in rough chronological fielding order:

By all means, jump in with your own Battle Rifle pics or open (on-topic) discussion points! Also, let me know if you wanna see some older "Cold War" Assault Rifles or their Military-Style-Semi-Automatic, civilian sporting rifle counterparts. We can do PCCs and SMGs when the Assault Weapons are done... Unlike yours truly, this thread can have legs!

the turde will be very pleased with all his new toys.

LOL, not a fvcking snowballs chance in Hell of that happening! The only thing Lieberal to touch my guns will be their goddamned tears IF they have the balls to attend the Edmonton Region Gun Show when I decide to display them (again) all in one place at one time for the public's amusement....

Can you give more details on the STF44? It looks like it is a post war reproduction.

Nope, it is 1943 production, however it has been refinished in a modern Blue/Black product (Dura-Coat), in an effort to simulate WW II German Salt-Bluing. That's why it looks like a repro - the finish is too "perfect" due to it being a re-do. The rifle was a nearly "in the white" and quite rust-prone before the refinsh. The Magazine shows the original late-war Gray Parkerized finish found on many 1944 and '45 Stgs....

Even if you did hand them over, remember it's only the lower receiver that needs to be handed in. Keep everything else.
