Sorry to bother anyone who thinks I should know this already, but some of the info told to me confuses me and I would really like the truth. Having been fighting health I have lost touch with the LIBS total BS regarding firearms. With this handgun freeze and ban in place , can a restricted firearm qualified owner still take his handguns to their club for some enjoyment or must they stay locked up ? I am getting yes and no from different people so I am looking for the truth not heresay. Thanks for your time, greatly appreciated.

The "Freeze" applied to registration transfers. You can no longer buy, sell, or transfer handguns to anyone. So unless something changes, what you have is hat you have. You're still legally allowed to use them the same as you were before, for now.

Shoot away my good man.

Actually, you can buy and sell handguns. You just can't advise the registry. So it is deteriorating every day.

Each time I approach the executor of an estate I am told that Joe's handguns are gone. The kids took some and sold/distributed the rest.

And those who spend the winter in Florida will come back with the handguns they bought while there and won't be able to call the 1-800 number to register their new guns.

We have had a registry for 100 years. It is now melting down.

Probably a lot of that happens.

Also imagine people who need money, they will sell, usually to a qualified individual.

Look at QC, people there want to buy NR - but OUT OF PROVINCE. Every time when the government makes some stupid laws, people will go around it.

Notice: I am not advising anybody to break the law nor do I glorify it. It is just facts.

I do not doubt that is happening and it's almost like they planned it that way. Eventually they will come out and say that the underground exchange of handguns is rampant and the only solution is to ban them all.
