Hi there. To all Vinci / Super Vinci owners out there...have any of you had to replace that bolt buffer (that red/orange ring with the tab), and if so, under what conditions? The tab for mine is pretty bent outwards, and while there is not much play between it and that cover plate in front of it while it is under spring tension, I am just curious if anyone has replaced this, either proactively or otherwise due to wear, etc.. I'm not sure what conditions I would need to replace mine (I suspect maybe if the tab actually broke off, so the assembly doesn't stay captured in) - or whether any wear and tear of this component adversely impacts performance noticeably. On a cursory search, I also don't see many retailers selling this part in Canada.

Any feedback would be much appreciated...thanks!

I brought 2 from Stoeger Canada shipped to my house 30 bucks.
It was proactive purchase since mine is pretty much how your described yours.
I read you don’t even need to replace it even when the tab breaks, it’s purpose is to retain the bolt for easier assembly.
With that said I will replace my buffer when it doesn’t retain the bolt in the barrel assembly.

Thanks very much. Nice to know someone else where has a Vinci. They don't seem to be very commonplace (I know they stopped making them in 2019 for the regular Vincis and the SuperVinci discontinued 2021 or last year, but ownership for them seem far and few between).

Good to know about that buffer. I will just leave it since I don't plan to take it apart very often.

Yeah I’m not sure why the super Vinci isn’t more popular. It’s basic has 90% of the Super black Eagle features for 1000 cheaper

There's a part of me that wishes I bought a Super Vinci. I will never have the need for 3.5" shells, BUT the placement of the safety in the back of trigger guard on the Super Vinci as opposed to the front of the Vinci is a good change from both an accessibility/ergonomics perspective as well as ensuring you don't get the bruised knuckles if you are shooting heavy loads.

I am curious why Benelli discontinued the Vinci series. It was released, what - in the mid to late 2000s? Didn't have that long of a shelf life, all things considered. Maybe the SBE just superceded it in sales or they had stiff competition from the Winchester SX series, etc.

Vinci is discontinued in North America market but still available on Benelli world site.
My feeling is the “look” hold back sale which cause it to be discontinued in NA market.

When installing the assembled bolt, I push the tab (that sticks out) in past the threads (usually with a screwdriver), so it isn’t as severely bent when the bolt is fully in place. My logic is that this should make it less like to develop a crack/tear.
