I didn't want to hijack the other thread, so here I am, slight twist. I'm looking for a 22lr bolt, specifically want a 16" barrel. I've narrowed it down to the two mentioned. This going be strictly a utility/truck 22lr. I want it light weight and compact. I do not want to upgrade stocks, change barrels, switch triggers, etc. I want to take it out of the box, clean it, maybe adjust trigger, find ammo it likes, by a case and then not touch it, other than to shoot. Between the two any opinions on which would fit the bill the best? No upgrading, just as is, factory stock?

I own a 457 LRP. My buddy owns a T1X. Both short amazing. But after about 100 rounds out of each. I feel my buddies money was better spent. Sure he will need to spend more for a target stock etc. But I feel the base rifle is better. Just my two cents worth.
I am surprised the so many folks seem to favor the T1X. I have heard the mags aren't great on the Tikka's, but the CZ's are beautiful rifles with a very nice action. Either way you go, there is some crazy accurate rimfires on the market these days.

The t1x mags look silly and they are cheap plastic. That said, the mags can be had for pretty cheap when on sale and my original mag that came with the gun has seen plenty of shooting in all types of weather and is still going strong. The build, fit, stock trigger pull, accuracy etc are what makes the t1x a fantastic out-of-the-box rifle. I will always have at least one in my collection.
