So what do you use to get multiple HGs to the range?

I have been looking around, all around and still haven't found a good solution for tranporting 4 pistols in a case. One case is the criteria as the other hand has the AMMO :) Really looking for something that protects well and isn't just a stack of guns with foam between them that one has to be removed before the other. I looked at Lebaron in Ottawa and their catalog as they are very low on stock of the entire store, also looked at camera stores but still haven't found what I am looking for. The ideal thing would be a case that I open and all are displayed either flat like on egg crate foam or vertical spaced with foam.

Any suggestions? and/or what do you use?

Doscosil 4 gun case that looks like a brief case.
I use a Doskocil case too. When I load it with 4 guns, I don't trust the foam to keep things from moving and wrap a couple of cloths around the guns to further protect them.

I bought a aluminum case from Rona. It is just a lockable equipment case with foam inside. Costs about $20.00 and fulfills all the criteria needed for transporting handguns. I can fit four inside and I keep them in those little fabric handgun cases. When I am at the range, I take the individual handguns out and use the fabric case as a gun rug.

I use a "strong n tuff" 26in toolbox fm Cdn Tire. I can put 4 guns easily in the bottom (lined with egg crate foam) and shooting accessories in the removable tray. Well under 20 bucks. (And its lockable).

I use a regular brief cases. I have four with combination locks rather than a keyed lock. I have foam inserts that I have cut the profile of guns into. I get four full sized handguns into the brief case.

I like this because it in no way looks like a gun case and doesn't attract attention.

I use a hard case designed for an breakdown o/u or sxs shotgun. I've managed to stuff 8 semi-autos or a mixed load of 6 wheelguns and semi-autos in there.

I can easily fit three full-size 1911s under the tray which holds all of my mags and various range accesories. I even keep all of my 'paperwork' in there.

I would suggest keeping the paperwork in your ammo box or someplace other than with the guns themselves. If you were stopped by a police officer and had to show your paperwork, having it with the firearms is just likely to make him nervous. Just a thought.

How about a Pachmayr/gun-ho pistol box? The bigger one will fit 6 pistols...

Here's a better view if the inside...

THAT'S who make those. I was wondering as I've seen a few guys at the range with them.

I currently use an aluminum tool case from CDN Tire. I can fit a 1911 & Beretta on one side, a few ammo boxes in the middle, and safety & cleaning gear and tools on the other. You could fit four IMO if you only had guns in it.

Only problem with these cases are cheap locks. I've broken one I now keep ammo in, and the one in the picture has a failing lock.

I use a case meant for a over under shotgun. You can carry 4 desert Eagle size firearms in it without worrying about them touching. Ask me how i know. :) I always wrap my firearms individually as well. I've never had them bounce around or against each other, even when I had to fly with them somewhere, but it is a good idea IMHO.
