What is your most recent hunting rig purchase.

A Winchester ( FN / BACO ) M70 Alaskan .375 H&H. It was "as new" lightly used for one season ( <20 shots) and the owner decided it was too much rifle for his needs. I'm in the middle of training for a safari in Zimbabwe and my other .375 broke, so this one was quickly found, picked up and shot right away. I like it! Slimmer and a little lighter than the Safari Express model, I like the fit of the stock better and and I like the looong barrel too. Muzzle-heavy forward balance is great for offhand shooting. It came with a Nikon 3-9x40 scope that I'm deciding whether to keep or not. Suspect I'll swap it out and use a nice Kahles 1-4x that I have on hand. I really like the .375 H&H cartridge. Once over the psychological barrier of thinking it's a "big gun", it's actually very versatile and good for all kinds of hunting.
 
Bought two 9.3X62s, not sure why, but a BAR MKii and a P14/17 that needs finishing.

Both action bolts sheared off under recoil. I probably neglected to check them, suspect they were loose. It certainly was disconcerting. Will take a while to fix too. That rifle needs a proper pillar bedding job now.
I'm looking forward to following elephant tracks through the Zimbabwe jesse in 2 weeks!

I just bought the same rifle chambered for the same cartridge from PR. To say the quality is above the price point is an understatement. I wish I could find it's twin in 300 Blackout.

I also just picked up another plinker, this one from Bullseye North.

A Howa Mini 1500 in .223 with the 1 in 8 twist barrel. I just mounted a Vortex 4-16 and am waiting for a chance to get out to the range with it.

I decided to put together a new one for the bear operation this spring... converting an M77 Mark II Stainless 7 RM into a .450 Marlin with a 20" Bartlein barrel in a B&C stock... aiming for 2100 fps with 350 Speer Hot-Cor's... perfect bear medicine.
 
I've been fancying a new rifle for a while now. I don't get to shoot as much as I use to, or would like to now that I live on an island so close to the LML and it's full of hippies. But I think I'll pick something up soon. Maybe for next summers sheep hunt.
 
Most recent dedicated hunting rifle? Probably the T3x Superlite in 308 Win. The Ruger #1 in 50-140 that I bought after is likely going to get fielded occassionally in the hopes of finding some big game too though, just not mountain hunting, lol.
 
Last week I purchased a BSA Viscount, chambered in the 7x57 Mauser.............BSA are the most under valued rifle that I know. It's in the mail as I type this post.
 
Not "bought" but I inherited some guns when my Dad passed away, one of which is a .45 cap lock in a "Hawken" style half stock that he had made in Germany many many years ago with a whitworth bore. He had it made specifically for moose and bison. Came with quite a lot of bullets (around 500 grain IIRC) and I had the chance and purchase a used mould (Peter Dyson manufacture) to cast my own Whitworth bullets. Dad used to shoot it with 90 grains of FFF and said that it made his .375 HH feel like 6MM. I have shot maybe a dozen rounds through it and did not find the recoil that bad. I have not had the opportunity to hunt with it yet but it will be my new "go to" hunting rifle.
 
Ok i don’t have it yet, it I just put my deposit on a Bradshaw rotary action full stock 7x65r…. I was debating on the caliber, but he had a barrel and forehand for a 7x65r and he offered me that at $1000 off the usual price! Anyway, I’m sure it will be gorgeous and shoot well! But I had to sell a bunch of rifles to fund that one… 2 Ruger no1 are done and I need to sell a few more off the collection..

The only one I can find online he goes straight from opening the action to taking it apart. Hard to tell how easy it would be to reload quickly
 
I realize I'm more into acquiring fun rifle projects than acquiring functioning hunting rigs.

Latest is an ugly looking Swedish Mauser in 9.3x57, the stock has some sort of wood glued to the top to raise the cheek, holes drilled in the action for a side mount, the bolt cap chopped up, a side safety and apparently decent barrel. I'll see what I can make of it, but I suspect it will be close to unrecognizable by the time I'm done from what it is (I hope/in a good way)
 
More of a parts purchase then rifle purchase I suppose. A 7 saum on a deviant action and 22” IBI carbon, and a nice chunk of Turkish walnut. Almost ready for some finish on it.
