Worst rifle you ever bought?

REM-Marlin 1895. Barrel and sights were not indexed properly. Sharp edges on lever I could shave with. Sticky action. Loading port would cut your thumb if you followed shells in too far. Absolute abomination. Sent it back and sourced a genuine JM.

Savage B Mag. Plastic piece of junk. Browning NEW T bolt with Plastic piece of junk entire trigger mechanism. Other than spring, pins and sear. But hey the trigger is gold(PLASTIC). I have sold all of the guns manufactured by both these companies other than two Browning O/U shotguns and a 204 Walking varmit Savage. All will eventually sooner than later be sold. Poor John M is rolling in his grave. Unfortunate sign of the times.

I guess I’ve been lucky reading all these posts.

I guess the Remlin 336 30-30win I had wasn’t great. It worked but sights were crooked and the fit and finish sucked.

I bought a Remington 783 - 243 at Crappy Tire for $249 on sale/clearance.
Why? $249 bucks and I didn't' want to take my wood rifles into the bush or in my treestands.
I wanted something I could beat the crap out of.
Out of the box the thing was horrific. Rough as hell.
Had the wrong weaver sights on it. It required an elevated base on the rear. They slapped two front ones on. Put a 20MOA pic rail on it
The stock was slippery as hell with really weird ergonomics. Dropped a Boyds At-One thumbhole on it.
Holy crap what a shooter. Brand new rifle for 700 bucks.
The guys at my camp laughed so hard when I pulled it out.
Then I dropped a 10 point at 240yds in October.
I just smiled. You can turn a pigs ear into a silk purse.

Zastava LK M70 bolt action. Didn't feed properly, which was my first indication it was a dud (CRF rifle that can't even F). Metalwork was poor overall, fit and finish was poor overall, receiver screws were off-center, it trashed cases, feed lips were f@cky and occasionally a cartridge would pop up and out of the action altogether. The pressed checking was disappointing. It cracked at the tang after its first range outing. Accuracy was okay-ish after using Burris rings to tweak the mounting but so disappointing overall compared to the experiences of others.

No bad rifle so far. I always do my homework beforehand (there is a wealth of information on this forum and elsewhere), shoulder the rifle in person if possible before buying it, buy new whenever I can, and only choose good brands: Tikka, Sako, Winchester, Browning...

What caliber was this rifle?

Sorry for your trouble; I have one, and yes, wood to metal fit could be better, Checkering could be sharpened up but a very pretty piece of wood; metal work is about as nice as I have seen on any rifle, and it shoots.

Savage B-Mag 17 WSM...absolute piece of garbage. Brand new and lucky if it worked properly 25% of the time. Feed issues, ftf issues, accuracy was all over the map. Put it in a Boyd's laminate coyote stock. That improved accuracy. Ended up trading it for some electrical work. Second worse was a Stevens 200 bolt action in 22-250, stock was so flexible that accuracy was non-existent. Said goodbye to that one too.
