SRV2 Siberian Reviews

There was one report that there were sharp edges in the grip/trigger guard? Does your unit have any of these? Thank you very much for your thoughts, everything the community is saying leads me to believe this may be the copium I need.

I handled one that gunstore staff had purchased. Very nicely machined, no rough or sharp edges. One minor defect I noticed was one pin hole blemish on the finish and I was looking hard at it. Nice gun. Can't wait for my own. And then to write a full review!

weird times, 15 years ago there would be a dozen reviews already after a launch like this.

One of the effects of the recent anti-gun crusade by the bag's of #### in our govt is that people tend to like talking about things they own a bit less. Takes a good chunk of the fun out of forums like this.

Just got back from shooting one head to head against a WK 180 Gen 2. 300rds through the BCL, recoil is extremely light when compared to the WK comparable to a nicely gassed AR15. Had no gas to the face thanks to the sealed charging handle slot. Machining is very nice with no noticeable sharp edges. Didn’t shoot for accuracy today as we tried to make it fail, all 300 rounds through it were within 40mins time. One downside is shooting that much in the timeframe is the rail for very hot which was to be expected. No major issues, couple mag related issues but once we removed those from the testing rifle functioned beautifully from there on out. Very impressed overall and would recommend over the WK 180 Gen 2 for the price point.

Update, got to shoot another 200rds through the rifle today. Outdoors approx 5 degrees, zero malfunctions with both 77gr mk262 and 55gr bulk ammo. Again light recoil compared to other rifles tested side by side. Very impressed with the rifle.

Excited to see what kinda accuracy you get out of the mk262.

Hmmm.... tempting...... but that Gas Block removal thing still kills it for me - at least for now. Beside which, I currently need another 5.56mm rifle like I neeed a hiole in my noggin - not so much!

Last range trip of the weekend. Had some FTEs today, took the extractor apart and cleaned to spring area. Noticed it’s the same as an AR but missing the O Ring for more strength and exchanged it for a BCM heavy duty spring and o ring set I had on hand. After that issues went away. 150 rds shot today including accuracy testing. Was shot off a bipod and rear bag with a 1-6 LPVO. Mk 262 held 1.5-1.7”, reloaded Hornady 75BTHP held 1-1.25” groups, some reloaded campro 55gr was also in the 1-1.25” groups. A different loaded of 55gr campros were in the 2-2.25” groups. Accuracy with certain loadings I’m sure could be better with a high magnification scope. Overall accuracy is on par with my old tuned 3gun AR, and good for what it will be used for.

Buyer beware level is also pretty high with BCL.

There was a guy on Reddit who had at least 20 failures to feed. Multiple mags used. Sometimes 2-3 FTFs per mag

Frigging brutal

FTF on 556 or 223 is usually the magazine, or more precise the magazine catch which is a joke on ALL AR magazine based rifles. You have to deal with a sh.... idea to begin with.

Which magazines did he use? Brand etc???

Got out again yesterday morning…The weather was keeping everyone away so we had the big range all to ourselves. Set up some targets and obstacles and ran a few simulated 3 gun stages…Exactly 306 rounds today, mostly running and gunning various distances. First up, wanted to see how my 50yd zero held up at 100…got my dope (exact same as my 18” 3Gun AR) and then we started dumping mags in our mock 1 gun match.

Again, Rifle ran well…Had a snag with the mag release a couple times so now I’m committed to fit an ambi release in the gun (I’m a lefty)…As well, still a bit awkward with charging the gun on the run due to the charge handle being on the left side…trying different things with both strong hand and support hand and am confident I will find something that works consistently.

Had one fail to fire…thought it was a light primer strike but when I looked at it, the primer was hit pretty hard. Tried it again in my gun and my buddies gun (not a Siberian) and it wouldn’t go off. Took the round apart at home and no idea what the problem was but chalking this up to ammunition failure.

After 300 rounds it was a bit dirty inside but a quick wipe down with G96 and good as new. Still no signs of wear where there shouldn’t be. All in all, gun still gets an A+ after 466 rounds total.

Next up: going to load some 62 and 77 grain match rounds and test for accuracy…

Nothing to report on my side too

What mags are you guys running? I've got 3 types, one I can't remember off the top of my head... US made polymer LAR 10/30, 6x Elander 5/30, 4x ATRS polymer LAR 10/20

BCL is excellent in customer service and will help you out if there is a problem.

That's good to know, I'm buying it from somebody that changed their mind though. It hasn't arrived, "weather delays" in shipping. Hope with warranty it isn't just "original owner" and BCL stands with products that have made it to other people's hands.

I'm excited though still to some extent.

Gun was lost in transit. Ordered last one from SFRC. Hopefully it arrives within a week and I can send some copper and brass out of it next weekend. I won't be putting too many rounds down range.
