Last real amount of .303 surplus I bought was the Greek stuff back in the `90s at Millarm in Calgary. Still have 20 or 30 rds left from that case.
Wasn`t looking again for it until 2014 ish but haven`t seen any for sale anywhere. Was given some along with a few LE rifles when i lived amongst those on the east coast who just wanted Pop`s old guns out of the house…..
The local range has Cases of .303 available, a few sight sponsors have loose 100rd pack available as well.
Things Military in Calgary has some at the moment.
Surplus? Or new ammo
all ammo has gotten a lot more expensive over the last few years.
surplus military 303 ammo... well really its all 50 years old at least and those storage bunkers have been cleared out so I don't expect to see anymore, Canada did produce it for the Rangers but not in the millions of rounds stockpiled for wartime use.
PPU has made some good ammo at very reasonable prices and I'm currently using PPU projectiles for reloading.
nothing is going to be plentiful and cheap for ever.
I know I'm dating myself, but when I got into shooting the old Lee Enfields, milsurp ammo ran anywhere from .17 cents to .25 cents a round. I burned through hundreds of rounds of the stuff over the years. If only I had known..........
