These are beautiful guns.
I really wish they made them in non pistol calibers though
450 Marlin / 45-70 with their quality work would be insanely good.

Gratz to whoever is getting the 500SW with the FO/irons.

They are awesome. I have one in 500 S&W and tried to make it two with the FO one listed but it looks like I missed it :(. Out of curiosity, what about the pistol calibres don’t you like? That 500 with 400gr Woodleighs has nasty power - I’m getting 2037fps according the my Labradar.

There is nothing about them I don’t like.. that being said, you can usually find 45-70, and to a lesser extent 450 Marlin in most every gun store.. tonnes of reloading supplies etc out there for them as well.

I don’t believe I could say the same about the 500 S&W, so I wouldn’t call that a complaint as much as something I’d like to see but these are boutique quality rifles, it’s no surprise they come in boutique calibers.

Gotcha, fair enough. I just ended up reloading for it as the factory stuff was so limited and expensive. At the time it was like $4 a shot for the cheapest factory stuff compared to $3 a round for 45/70 loaded with Barnes TSX.
 
These look amazing. I remember how killer they looked when they first started appearing in ads in gun magazines. Seems like a true high end rifle with no compromise. It also seems like the ammo can be found for reasonable prices as well. Alas, I promised myself I would spend more time with my other favourite levers. Starting to think I should list a couple guns to fund one of these though.

Well, I DID get the FO!! Crazy happy, these things are beautiful! Thanks Prophet River - as always, you guys are the best.
