Remington 700 Mag-Xtender

Anyone ever use one? How's the function, fit & finnish? Reliability? can't expect too much for 18$.

I'm thinking of giving it a try, but the plastic is kinda turning me off... Still, it remains a cheaper alternative to a magazine conversion.

I Have one on my .223 varmit rifle. works good, keeps me shooting longer between loads.

on a hunting rifle it's pretty useless.

feeds fine once I smoothed out some of the molding lines

have two on varmint rifles (.223 and 22-250). work like a charm. its a good quality rigid polymer -you insert your leaf spring in it,.

my only caveat is I haven't tested them for brittleness in cold weather ( say -30 and below).

the factory follower spring is fine with the extended mag? there are no feeding issues with the last few rounds?
