My New Glock 44

It appears that my G44 needed some more breaking in. After >500 rounds it shoots all the bulk stuff with few issues even the aguila ammo.

Good report. As the clock was ticking down my final purchase choice was between a Model 48 and a 44. Went with the 9. Should have bought both. Maybe Glock will make a conversion kit for the 48 one day.

Does Glock make any 22 conversion kits?

Couldn’t get my mitts on a G44, was always a day late so I ended up with a 17 frame and a Advantage Arms 17/22lr conversion upper. After reading this thread I should of been happy with the Glock 9mm’s I had and tried harder for the G44, it runs good on Remington golden bullets (recommended in the manual) and mini mags but that’s about it. Any other ammo is 50/50 failure rate (yes, that bad)

In the manual it recommended jacketed high velocity ammo but says not to use hyper velocity. Hasn’t been fun tracking down reliable ammo for it in our current environment but on a positive, Remington is manufacturing ammo again.

Is the Advantage Arms kit actually made by Glock?

That’s the exact kit I have and its definitely more ammo picky than the G44 by the sounds of this thread.
The AA kit is made by Advantage Arms not Glock,, Glock do not make a conversion kit in .22
Did you buy your kit used? If so, you may need to replace the extractor?
I have run an AA kit on a Gen3 G19 for numerous years and it has been quite dependable with certain ammo, CCI Mini Mags and Remington Thunderbolt, Winchester M-22.
If you are looking for parts Division Mogul carry some or you can also import parts from Irunguns
I have put thousands of rounds thru my AA kit over the years and it is ammo picky, but super dependable with the ammo it likes

Was doing the same. Looking for a small frame Glock and actually ordered and cancelled a 48 and went with the 44 simply because of ammo cost. In the end agree, should have bought both, but prices at that time were certainly at a premium with no chance for resale if not happy so cooler heads prevailed. Instead of the 48 I went with a 1911 in 45 ACP that I thought I needed more lol

Thanks, I was pretty sure the Advantage Arms kit wasn’t actually made by glock. I asked because I wasn’t aware of any of conversion kits produced by Glock and from everything I read the AA kit was supposedly the most reliable.
I bought my AA kit brand new from TNA and I happened to have half a bucket of golden bullets which it recommended so I shot those and it ran like a champ. Once I quickly burned through those I started trying other ammo because I couldn’t source any golden bullets, it ran like garbage on everything else I fed except mini mags. Most of the battle is sourcing the golden or minis in our current ammo shortage. Luckily for me, last time we went for a bush shoot the BIL pulled a box of 525 golden bullets out and I promptly convinced him to sell them to me and he shot the 22 ammo I brought that day…… win/win for everyone lol

Long story short, the G44 sound a lot less finicky about ammo than the AA kit. The AA kit is reliable and runs good on the ammo recommendation in the manual, but don’t deviate from that or you’ll be frustrated.

Like others have said, should of bought both pistols lol.

My buddy bought a G48, after shooting it I very much wish I bought one of those too lol
Very small and thin, great for small mitts.
