Browning x-bolt ejection problem

I have Browning long range xbolt in 300win, shekels don’t eject from the rifle. The case is being extracted but the case just drops in the mag well. I checked the ejection pin it’s not stuck, it’s easy to push back into the bolt. Not sure how easy it should be. I’m suspecting the spring is week or broken. Any input would be helpful, maybe some with an xbolt can tell me how hard or easy it is the depress the pin?

Sometimes with big scopes that have larger than average knobs sticking out everywhere the brass can hit the windage turret and bounce back in. Use your phones slow motion camera feature to check for this.

Ejector pin are usually very stiff and you shouldn't be able to "easily" push it back in. I don't have an Xbox to compare but my other rifles with ejector pins are stiff.

I agree with this. A "lazy" spring can cause the lack of ejection OP describes. Dave.

Both X bolts I've owned have had very positive ejection without working the bolt fast or hard. Probably worth checking to see if you have warranty coverage for a replacement ejector spring.

Had to tighten the spring in my Sako Finnlight for this very same reason, problem solved!

Thanks for the feedback, I ordered all the ejector and extractor parts springs, extractor and pins I will follow up after the parts are installed
