Tuesday I’m looking to hit the range for the first time since my handgun arrived in October.

Can someone give me a quick guide on the ATT rules.
Do I now need to call in/request one online or is it just part of my conditions attached to my RPAL? Pack and go? Or call in and get permission to travel with my own property?

Thanks.

The letter that your RPAL was stuck to has this information on it.

It’s attached to your license as a standard condition now, you’re supposed to have that piece of paper with your license in case you run out of toilet paper at the range.

So go to the range and enjoy your new pistol.

Did a little digging and as of 2021, that this is the case.

Transporting from home to range or from place of purchase to home is automatic and included in the RPAL. Transport to a gun show, gunsmith, port of entry, peace officer are not automatic and require an ATT.

Standard conditions ;
-You must inform the Chief Firearms Officer of you province or territory within thirty (30) days of any change to your name or address.

Special conditions;
-These license conditions authorize the transport of restricted and / or prohibited firearms registered to the license holder within their province of residence by a route that, in al circumstances, is reasonably direct for the specific purpose.
-Transport of restricted firearms and /or prohibited handguns (12(6.1) possessed for the purpose of target practice to and from all shooting clubs and ranges approved under section 29 of the Firearms Act.
