What's the best/cheap 9mm from Marstar

Although this doesn't help your search for a pistol from Marstar, I would like to second the choice for an M&P 9mm for your wife. I think it's a great gun for the price and because the S&W promotion has been extended you get $50 rebate + 2 extra mags. So it works out fairly close to a Norinco pistol from Marstar.

I'd think the np29 from marstar (single stack 9mm 1911) would be the best. I'm waiting for the slowboat on this. I'd have to get gunnar to touch it before I get it.
 
Why not a SP-O1 Shadow, lower safety, you can get smaller grips, the mag release is longer and reversable and the springs are lighter.
You also get the bonus of the same mags as your SP-O1.
The M&P is good with the interchangeable backstraps.
For sure, let her try as many as possible and pick what she likes..

I hear ya. I love my M&P40, and my wife can handle it for the most part.. but striker fired, no external safety, and a mag safety is not the best learning platform in my opinion.

She likes shooting full house 125 grain, .357, so a wimp she is not.

Then I think most of the guys are right about a single stack 1911 9mm. Go with it! :D
 
I bought an M&P40; $599 - $50 rebate - $100 (2 free mags) brings the pistol to about $450.00
So for $450 you get a brand new S&W tupperware gun with 3 palm swells, case, lock and total of 4 mags. Thats a pretty sweet deal! Same price for the 9mm.
