CZ Bren 2 MS NON-Restricted MAJOR UPDATE Post 587

If all box-fed rifles are not banned, would the recently announced CZ Bren 2 PPS semi-automatic only 7.62 NATO rifle require a separate FRT entry from the .223 and 7.62x39 mm Bren 2s? We would either have to get the factory to make an NR length barrel, but maybe they could be convinced to make it in .308 and 6.5 Creedmore rather then labelled as the military calibre, as they could then sell it to civilians in Czechia well.

The PPS is based of the BR which is select fire and it’s prohibited for that reason. Guns can’t be converted from full auto capable to semi auto to enter Canada. For fear of people converting them back to full auto

Damn, I missed it was a BR conversion, my bad.

I know what your saying about it just being a BR but since its semi auto only, it may be a different receiver to prevent it from being converted full auto and may gets its own frt number. Look at other firearms like the kriss vector for example, there is a full auto version and a semi auto version and the semi auto version is legal in canada

MAJOR UPDATE

We've received word from the importer of the CZ Bren 2 that the production of the Non-Restricted CZ Bren 2 has been delayed once again. CZ has provided an indeterminate timeline and virtually guaranteed a higher price.

As such, there are several options for how to proceed with your order

1) We can leave your order for eventual fulfillment when CZ eventually does manufacture the Non-Restricted Version, the price would depend on what CZ is charging us for the base rifle
2) We re-barrel a restricted CZ Bren for you. You would receive a non-restricted with 18.5" barrel AND a 16" spare barrel, at a new cost of $3450 (+tax and shipping difference), Delivery to us is expected to us early - mid May.
3) We cancel your order and issue a full refund on what you've paid thus far.

Please advise us which of the three options above you'd prefer. If we don't hear back from you by the 22nd, then we'll give you a quick phone call. As always, feel free to contact us by phone at 1-888-744-0066 if we may be of service, or reply to this email.

For those who do not have a pre-order with us and what to get one of the converted rifles, you can order them here:

Can someone comment on how the Dlask Barrel differs from the CZ Factory Barrel? Pros and cons list would be nice. RDSC has a 416R stainless and cerakoted rebarrelled version for 4800 bucks - I am actually impressed with the conversion price Marstar is offering all things considered. Does anyone have any first hand experience with the accuracy of the Dlask rebarrels?

I would like to know what happens to the warranty when the rifle is rebarreled??? I am also very interested in the Marstar deal, but I don't have a pre-order with them. Will that price be open to anyone else besides pre-order customers? If so, I will cancel my other one.

I've been punching tight holes with my conversion from Dlask. Never asked what type of barrel, i.e, chrome lined etc. I still have the original CZ barrel so I can always go back if the time comes to go on a canoe trip...

Also curious for more details on the dlask barrels. Cut, button or chf? Will they be chrome lined or are they nitride?
