7.62x39 sale at Cabela's

BTW jinks67, Sponsors here have Chinese Milsurp for about $ 0.30 / round + tax by the case, where the Norinco is ca 0.50 + tax. If you get several friends you can get 1-2 cases and save shipping from some vendors - FREE shipping sometimes.
Running Hot Water thru the barrel is all it takes to make "Non-corrosive Condition".

For anyone interested I nail tested this ammo. Bought 20 boxes about a month ago and then read people saying it might be corrosive. Well, it isn't. Tested against my known corrosive 60s and 70s dated ammo. Within 6 hours those 2 nails already had a nice brown coating. The red box stuff had nothing. (And still has nothing)

Great info - thank-your for sharing.
I was one of those voices (and my over cautious nature still has be leaning that way), so it is always good to hear people testing and verifying.

Yes sir, I may even buy another 10 or so boxes. I can sell my old corrosive ammo for almost the same price. I have 2 sealed tins on strippers that I will keep, but I have about 600 rounds of loose corrosive that I think I will just sell and replace with red box stuff. Also as extra info all of my red box stuff I received in my first order was dated 2019.

I am cautious like you though and even after doing the nail test I still clean fairly well when I get home. And check the next few days for any bad signs.
