Browsing XS Sight Systems website looking for a tritium dot for my Grizzy, I eye'd an ad for this:

Where do the bayonet and flashlite hookup? Better get some bedliner for it. :)

In the context of Service Rifle (shooting), over 125 years ago.... THAT Lever action WAS the Service Rifle.

Now it's a politically correct (Service) rifle, that can deliver the goods.

Wait until those left wing queer hoplophobes try to ban lever guns (since they are rapid firing)....

I'm in da mood to parkerize my Marlin !! :D LOL

hideous looks aside, i do not see how that would make it any more 'tactical'.
a lever action is already tactical - smooth, streamlined, balanced, proven in battle and in the old west since the American civil war, then for a century by sportsmen.

how is putting four picatinny rails around it making it any more tactical? adding ghost rings, sure - but you can do that unobtrusively to any lever without making it look like some mall ninja toy and ruin its handling/balance.

ah well, the bottom line of this is that some people are going to be making a lot of money on this - theyll probably charge $300 for them. 'tactical aluminum' is worth more per ounce than gold, after all.

that's pure and simple desacration of a fine Marlin lever gun.....there are very few rifles with better lines and handling than a Marlin lever with the straight grip...

Not trying to hijack the thread but the straight stock & lever is my only critique of my Marlin 1895GS. I'd prefer the pistol grip and curved lever as on my 444S. I think with the heavier loads it would be a little easier on the fingers, but I'll live with it.;)

Flame suit on. In my defense, it's a working rifle for exploration field camps. It's hard to hold a flashlight and aim it and your rifle at the bear destroying your kitchen tent or worse.
