Estate sale finds

My thoughts....

Trigger guard #3 is martini-henry
Swivel 1 and 2 look like Ross
Cocking piece #7 is bolt cocking piece for a long lee
Sight 1-3 are Ross M1910
Sight #5-7 are for either M1917 or P14 I think
Sight #8 is Lee-enfield battle sight
 
Darn good find. Where there was that much there is or was probably a lot more. I'd be asking lots of questions about who it belonged to and what he did etc. etc.

Photo 1, Nos. 1-8 are Winchester buckhorn sights or copies of them.

Photo 2. No.4 is a long Lee Enfield sight ramp with a civilian target leaf, possibly Westley-Richards.

Photo 3 No.7 long Lee Enfield cocking piece

Photo 4 1 and 2 are long Lee Enfield sling swivels, 5 is probably a SMLE butt swivel, 7 is a Martini or Long Lee barrel band, 8 looks like a hinged SMLE band

Photo 5 No.1 is a Gew98 backsight or an export version of same.

The rest is obvious or unknown to me.

Thats a factory CLLE rear sight.


And the cocking piece you listed as "long lee" are also found on the carbines.

Good catch, never was much into the long Lees and didn't bother to check Skennerton! ;)

Which goes without saying since they were built on the same basic actions except for the absent safeties and charger guides.
