New Product Alert: Ruger PC Carbine barrels

This sounds like it would be a possibility but then you would lose the instant barrel change capability. The way the guys have it now you can swap back and forth barrels in a couple of seconds. Having to swap all the parts across from barrel to barrel would take considerably longer, and you risk the chance of small parts finding their way into the great beyond.
Just my $.02 so take it for what its worth.

You're right but depending on ATRS's answer I would have suggested sending the barrel minus takedown hardware for customers who're interested and when they become available send the extra set of takedown hardware (don't know if I'm making sense).

I 100% want to be able to swap the barrels in a pinch.

It looks like Ruger will honor our original order. We are at the moment looking to make the take down parts in-house in order to get things happening faster.
Having to depend on other companies for required bits and pieces is becoming painful.

Added to email list.

Really would like to support you guys and buy this product, especially if you make all the parts inhouse.

Wish I knew about this sooner, I guess I should drop by the forums more often.

Quick update:

We have received our first batch of barrel blanks, and they are quickly being turned at this point.
We have diversified our supply chain for future 9mm blanks, and combined with manufacturing all of the takedown hardware in house, this should alleviate the delays we encountered.

With this in mind, we have opened up back orders on the website again for the PC9 barrels, with an estimated lead time of 12-16 weeks while we power through the backlog.
This timeline is NOT relevant to people who have already ordered a barrel, because existing orders are our top priority.

Let's say a friend of mine ordered a barrel on the 29th of November, what shipping date would he be looking at ?

Just an update, more barrels are shipping out with the last of our limited Ruger take down hardware.
Production on our own take down hardware is moving along extremely well.

We have two new designs of muzzle devices specifically profiled to match these PC9 barrels in production right now.
