Is excessive Logging , hurting the bear pop in your area

I still don’t understand how bears are having a hard time from logging practices

Well . first off is I believe they are being killed during the logging process .. Go watch logging in the winter.. While in their dens and then the habitat is changed too much for years and years

I said aspect and garlon will kill blueberries, glyphosate isn’t used to spray tower lines in Ontario.

Most people assume glyphosate and Roundup are used only on GMO products, but it is also sprayed just before harvest on non-GMO oats, barley, wheat, and beans.

yes you are right

Those 1-2yr old growth in old cuts is what I’d be targeting area wise for Spring Bruins.. All that new growth, shutes etc is just what they’re after coming out of hibernation.

How stupid is that ..berries grow on bushes with leaves ..good grief .. they use 1/2 liter equivalent and spray it all over the cut block . Round up is non selective ..The needles are so fine as to not absorb the chem . The broader leaves do and die ..The forest is being farmed for money . Anyone seeing more bears in these areas is good news ...

You don't even know what herbicide means and you're spouting off

You're delusional... You do know that herbicides come in many different formulas, and can target specific species of plants, while leaving others unharmed?

(Habitat is changed to much for years and years) The boreal forest is evolved to burn. Logging practices “try” to emulate a similar process.
Not sure what to tell you logging is not going anywhere. It and mining, we won’t be building solar panels and windmills. Sudbury became a bureaucratic heavy university town and they still can’t kick the nickel.

agree ..logging is taking too much area with no replacement for the next 40-80 years maybe .. just my thoughts
Logging at the rate we are at now is not sustainable

Ha! Bottom line... they have to spray it on stuff to kill it... and they don't spray it on berries...
You've shown plenty on this thread about what you know and don't know.
As for the Chems... maybe you should have worn gloves? A mask? Something to protect yourself better...
Does your husband know you're on the computer?

You forgot about the part where they plant more trees than they cut? It wasn't said that long ago...

Don’t worry emerald ash would of killed it. Honestly I’ve seen more black bears at work in the bush than deer or moose (driving the highways is different) I work outside every day.DABD8146-FF88-45FA-9E04-3AC061602982.jpg
