Is excessive Logging , hurting the bear pop in your area

Thats kinda the deal here...maybe in broadleaf forest where there's a lot of nuts with high fat/high protein content that's better for them. But where that isn't going to happen, lots and lots of berries do Yogi pretty well too. Takes a ton, but he can get them.

Poplar might live pretty long under optimal conditions but rare is the trembling aspen that sees 80 here, dodging stuff like phellinus tremuloides all the way. The saw toothed versions can get pretty old and nice tho! Tougher eh?

Butternut trees are protected now in Ontario, beech bark disease is wiping out huge tracts of beech trees, don’t worry oak wilt will makes way across the boarder eventually (all mast heavy trees that provide food) The university of Guelph has some good programs and initiatives.

Yeah, whether or not lots and lots of berries outweighs less and less higher quality food is gonna depend on the region, and the future. Maybe it already does, maybe it will, maybe it won't.

Tell me more about managing 80 acres for Big Bucks.

The only thing better for deer, elk, moose, sheep and bears than logging is fire.

^^ This! In mid and long term IMO it is. Fire and logging complete a natural cycle of coming abundance.

You're not to sure about anything ..Typical biologist.. Hot air , nothing more ... Bears die In the logging process in some areas .
-30 frozen ground , yes they die . Does the new regrowth help . Yes to the survivors , in some areas and cases

Are you able to back that up with something other then opinion? Like studies or dead bear counts after a block is logged in winter? Or is it just something you believe to be true because it makes the most sense in your head?

A lot of people have already asked for the info and studies that lead you to believe what you are posting.

Hey whacko, show us on the doll where a biologist touched you? This complex you have about them seems to be really deeply seated. Childhood trauma?

Try letting your hard-on for me deflate a little bit so some oxygenated blood flows back into your brain and answering all of the people here asking for even a shred of proof to back up your ideas. 27 pages in and you haven't shown anyone a damn thing about why to listen to you. So try posting some proof for a change, then complain about me not being sure of anything.

No one puts any confidence in what you're saying. At all. And for very good reason. Be upset at me about that all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you aren't worth anyone listening to and you aren't of any consequence. It is in your power to change that, if you wish, but I doubt you will.

Says the guy who pretended he found fake details of me getting terminated from jobs, sends everyone who disagrees with him threatening PMs, said he was ignoring me 5 pages ago, and won't stop replying to comments of mine that aren't even talking with him. I haven't directed a message at your crazy ass in several pages, yet here you are crotch sniffing again.

Yeah you try so hard to get away from me. You must be a walking, talking mess of personality disorders.

And it ain't "your" thread, darling. You don't own anything here. **** you. I'll talk to who I want, where I want.

BTW it isn't just me who thinks your opinion is worthless, so does everyone else asking for you to post some proof already lol. That's why they keep asking. Why don't you answer them? That's why no one takes you seriously.

Oh yeah, and what job did I get "terminated" from for harrassment, addiction, whatever tf else you said? Who even does this schit hahahaha

Sure thing, loony.

Wail and whine all you want, but know I won't even be reading it. I'll keep talking with those who are of any significance all, though.

This is what your posts look like now. Ciao!

Beech bark disease combination of bug and fungus, I’m not a trained forester just someone who cuts a lot of trees. I ran into it a lot in central Ontario around Bancroft and Barry’s bay, will look like white fuzz and affects seedlings to mature trees. (This was 5ish years ago). Affected trees don’t last long.

Here’s a decent article with pictures and range

https://ohioline.osu.edu/factsheet/plpath-tree-09

The problem with the affected trees is that they will fail/fall down in unpredictable spots. Break at the stump, mid stem or you’ll see the crown fall apart like a dead/dying birch. If your an arborist you don’t want to be climbing them. They also tend to grow in groves so an affected area effectively gets nuked, same as the ash trees in certain areas like along the Trent waterway. The wood gets punky fast and isn’t good for even firewood.

To bad as they’re important trees for wildlife food
Landowners can be proactive by cutting them down like ash trees. As far as I know no available treatments like for EAB

From what I see the 1000's of acres flattened every year and the disturbance .Logging in the winter has to kill alot of denned up cubs . Bear's , especially the black are taking a kicking . In new logged out areas where there was once numerous bears are now dwindling . Does it matter where , spring comes sooner or maybe not

What have you seen in your region
Does it affect moose / elk and other game too

All the bears I ever shot were either in a clearcut on a pipeline (clearcut) or on a cutline.

So my answer is no.

Lol so you have switched from arguing an incorrect opinion to insulting people who question the incorrect opinion, even though they post loads more info on the subject you did. Where is your info?

Lol. Either provide even a shred of evidence or just quit while youre ahead.

You have yet to post anything other then your own thoughts, and they are only backed up by your own opinion
