Hey guys.
I'd love to hear your best loads for 6.5x55 using 140 gr bthp bullets.
I currently have Varget, Benchmark, H4895, IMR4895, and Reloader 15.
I'm hoping to get some H4350 on the weekend.
Thanks

I found a pound of 4831 for $89. (I hate how expensive powder is now). I'll do some testing this week.

In the past I always used IMR4350 or IMR 4895. Fortunately, I picked up a 5 lb jug of D 4350 and D 4895. I worked up loads and found the same data for IMR works for these two Dominion powders. I have three different rifles; a modern Zastava; an Obendorf 96 and a HVA M38. If I load for accuracy in the Zastava, the other two follow suit. I use 33 gr D4895 and 35 gr of D4895 behind 40 gr Sierra HPBT.

For the Zastava I have been loading Sierra 85gr. JHP Varmint bullets in front of 44 gr of D4350. I only have one box of the 85s left; they stopped making them. Absolutely devistating on ground-hogs at 3200+ FPS

I find both these powders to be slightly less dense than the IMR.

Only regret is I did not buy 5 jugs of each back when it was available.

Second that on the dominion powders....have one jug of d4064. Works real well with 100grn softies in 6.5x55. 3000fps so far. See if I can squeak a bit more velocity.

Wish I had bought 5 jugs of it...
