Shorty Shot Shells

I was thinking they might be a good introduction to 12 gauge for a smaller framed person I know.
Cabela's has them on sale this weekend with free shipping over a $149 order.

Absolutely they are. My neighbors 9yr old shot semi with them last weekend, didn't break position.
Semi won't cycle them but it will single feed fine.

"Kent Low Recoil/ Training" and "Winchester AA Low Recoil Low Noise" generate even less recoil than the mini shells.
Keep in mind that those Mini shells do not have a wad cushion section ....

Define a "good pump"
My Moss 590S is pretty much 100% with minis. Also std 500/590 can use adapters to run shorty shells.
My Churchill 512 which is 570 based is probably 20% success rate with em, so not good.

I was going to say an 870 or Mossberg . so you said something about an adapter to be able to shoot those shells ? I've never tried them . I'm old school . I like reliability . thanks for letting me or should I say us know .

Churchill 512 is sxs. What 570 are you referring too?

I have used these and the similar Aguila minishells before in my 590 Shockwave - it needed an Opsol adapter (very easy to install) to ensure smooth feeding.

For break action guns, no problem running these. For pumps, likely need an adapter.

They are good for reduced recoil and I taught my daughter how to shoot a shotgun with these. In my view the benefit with the reduced recoil is shooting the shorty slugs.
