Oofta! A burned up Biesen is a lot of dollars up in smoke!
I learned a long time ago that rich doesn’t necessarily mean smart.
The right answer to the OP’s question is probably tikka. I don’t own any, mostly because my brother in laws do, and I do not like detachable mags.

The new trigger is no improvement.

Still waiting to hear about your experience with the new Winchester trigger and what you don’t like about it? I’ve heard this repeated on several websites now with no real explanation so I’d love to hear what the issues are? Mind you I’ve also heard that all Leupolds are junk now.

Better yet. What makes the new trigger better?

I don’t think anyone here mentioned it was better. It’s certainly not worse, it’s just different. I’m simply wondering what experience you’ve had with the new trigger that is problematic. If you’ve had none, and just dislike it because it’s different it’s ok to say that.

The design of the new trigger is enclosed. I have seen at least two enclosed freeze up rendering them useless. That is a problem. The old trigger design has fewer parts, is less susceptible to water, debris, and access for cleaning etc.

It would be interesting to see just what it takes to fail, and how often they do.

Have heard of it with Remington 700s in prolonged sub zero temperatures, but not say for Tikkas (considering the Rangers are using them, go figure).

More parts and more potential to fail? Yeah. That sucks for those who depend on the Win 70s primary attribute...reliability. Although the amount it lost is still quite theoretical it seems. For the 99% of users who don't, its an improvement over the factory trigger that they won't ever have 'smithed into beauty imo.

Tikkas and Kimber have THE BEST FACTORY triggers I HAVE found . then a $10.00 yo Dave lighter spring in the Tikkas makes them Excellent . The Kimbers only need adjusting to make them Excellent . JMHO. RJ

The trigger shoe on a Kimber is too curved for my liking. In fairness you can tune up most factory rifles to make them very good. Kimber just needs the screws twisted, no polishing, sear grinding or springs needed. That’s a nice feature.
