CZ Bren 2 MS NON-Restricted MAJOR UPDATE Post 587

I'm guessing they will still ship to you since you paid for it and you are the legal owner. Similar to what happened during the 2020 OIC for those that bought in the days/hours leading up to the ban.

When the first OIC happened, we were able to ship out AR15 rifles (after the ban was in place) to customer who ordered them before the ban.
One customer got his approval 6 months after the ban, we still managed to ship him the rifle because we could prove his order was placed before the ban.

Stop panicking over unknowns. You can so what this govt til you are blue in the face.

DLASK and MARSTAR are doing their best, and have actually said this timeline all along - people just have selective memory or only wish to get their info from this post and miss pages of info.

Hold the Line!!!

Great attitude!

That is good to know. Not panicking. Just curious. Have been a gun owner for long enough to know that this is not for the faint-hearted. Appreciate what Marstar and Dlask have been doing. Looking forward to the end product.

The only problem with this is that "proving" purchases were made before any future bans provides the RCMP with a list of Canadians who have purchased these rifles - which sort of defeats the purchase of a Non-Restricted rifle. I suppose the feds could ask for that information from vendors since C71 took effect. But as long as the firearms are shipped before any future bans and you verify the buyers license for at least one person - you could have plausible deniability you sold it. If the rifles are not in your hands before any future bans, and marstar needs to justify to the feds that you bought before any bans, you are as basically f*cked since the transfer of prohibited firearms is an offence. So you will receive the rifle yes, but any ability for you to "verify the buyers license" and possibly sell it disappears. If this firearm is prohibited before you get it, you may as well have a short barreled restricted version TBH. You will have no recourse if you say you sold it.

I believe I read there was a August 31 2023 deadline for the committee to present it's summer recommendations to the Minister. So i'm guessing they will compile a list all summer but nothing will be submitted until Aug 31st and who knows if the OIC will come into force that same day.

Good morning Gentlemen,

Northern Shooter, this is also what I read about it. They need a cross country tour during the high season at our expense to 'consult' with folks they want to hear from so they can report back to parliament that they have done their due diligence and are now justified to pull off the greatest heist in Canadian history.

Either way, we are on schedule pertaining to the timeline we gave in the beginning. For anyone that thought the sale was for a converted rifle AND a guarantee that our kind lords and leaders in Otter-wa would let you use them as you please.....yeah, lol, not how life works unfortunately.

Does this move my rifle to some cool serial # with 69s or 007s in it? AHAHHAHA.

I'm waiting patiently for my 16" conversion like many others. I'm posted from Onterable to Sask this summer - so my main concern is getting a new house that this can live in and maybe having to change my shipping address with Marstar at some point lol

Keep up the good work

Well again maybe their communications sucked. There was no mention of 7 to 8 weeks from when we pay them plus another week shipping and then whenever we get done converting and shipping out. It really was framed as dlask is working on barrels and 7 weeks out at latest. Now that they have cash story seems to change at whim.
I'm glad there are true believers who will defend them regardless. Certainly nice having a 100% personal customer risk option offered to us, not sure how that was a huge lift on their part. Clearly de risked for themselves before proceeding to be safe and nothing moved until all covered.

There very much was, maybe learn to be patient, read the thread, and not jump to false accusations and insults. If anything both businesses have shown to be very creative and quick to roll with the punches out of their control. With all due respect but I doubt people such as yourself are ever satisfied except in some imaginary and fanciful world where zero things go wrong.

Well, who ever is disappointed and freaking out… I’ll gladly take your 16” as long as Marstar allows it. ✌
