Kalashnikov modifies AK-12 assault rifle based on Ukraine combat experience

So, they removed the burst of 2 feature because it was crap.

I had heard that it's generally well liked but some users experienced cracking of the lower receiver.

I wonder where they failure point is? The front pin area maybe? I have been looking at them but I would definitely replace the lower with one of the aluminum ones floating around

I can assure you that you will never use a Bren in the way these are cracking in combat.

Probably not, but it only takes 1 trip while running and landing funny to crack a weak point in a plastic lower vs no damage to an aluminum lower. There's a reason why polymer AR lowers aren't widely used.

Another thing about the factory Bren 2 lowers is I find them fugly, same with the stock lol

Correct. It's because the AR15 design was optimised for aluminum forgings.

You're not a Call of Duty one man army. You'll be fine.

Still gonna change it, because I want to. And I am gonna play army in a trench with it after. Feel free to join, sounds like you need some fun.

How else are you supposed to know the gun you bought is a piece of junk if you're not LARPing with it?

Get out there and shred. It would suck owning a firearm you can't trust.

The US dumped the 3rd burst years ago for the same reason. It sucks.

Maybe the russkies thought the same thing back when they implemented it, that the grunts can't be trusted with fire discipline.

Besides, I couldn't imagine trying to find the "click" on the AK for 2rd when under fire. I'm guessing most are sliding the selector it all the way down or all the way up.

It must be price point that attracts India to Russian junk.

If this war has proven anything, it’s that Russian designed equipment is generations behind western weaponry. weapons designed decades ago by western countries are easily destroying the latest in Russian military hardware. China would find themselves in an even worse predicament if the attempted an invasion of Taiwan.

If this war has proven anything it's that none of us have any real clue as to what's happening over there. By now the Ukrainians have received $100B+ in various funding and mil equipment yet the war has no end in sight. If the disparity in capabilities was as large as you suggest this thing would've been done by now.
