Favorite 100 yd black bear

I would say for me the 308 win (100) yds and the 45-70 inside of 60 yards .
But the 308 with 165 or 180 does a good trick

For real , the speer hot core boat tail .308 165 gr does surprisingly well at 2600fps /100yds.
I use it for moose as well.

Yes . Very good accurate bullet for 40 cents each. It's impressive. I just bought another 200pcs from intersuplus,i really like them and at that price , i practice a lot with them

nice , do you always shoot thru the lungs or have you hit a shoulder the odd time ..

Never recovered one in bear yet ,exited through both shoulder blades. Recovered one in a 10years old cow moose in a quartering away shot at 25yds broke the far shoulder ended up against the skin far side and the bullet didn't separate.

I like the vor-tex 300 grain or the old dual bond 375
either way they both work

6.5x55 with 140gr Hornady SST @ 2800fps.

25-06 w 120 gr Speer. Worked well on a few. Shot one with my 308 and 165 gr core and cup. No tracking with either round. Hand loads.

22-250 with 53 gr TSX FB on 1 end and 416 Ruger with 400 gr Partition on the one end of the spectrum, or pretty much anything in between!

Also... is not a Boolit a term used to define a Cast lead projectile???

I really like the 338 fed only thing is use soft expanding boolits. .too slow for the mono's in my opinion
