Late to this party, but still grinning from my first long range shooting experience. 26” IBI 7.5 twist 6BR, and nailed a 16x16 inch plate four times in a row at 1000m. Took a break to help others for a while, next shot missed just left in the changing wind, but hit the plate again two more times right after. Then started going for longer targets.
I’m happy with my reloading process too, since that string of ammo I made had an SD of 4.2fps. The waterline on the steel at 1000m was tight. 30.0 grains of Varget, Lapua 1f brass, and Berger 105 hybrid targets.
My friend’s rangefinder that I borrowed couldn’t pick up the steel, so I just bought a better one and am now looking at a Kestrel. You could say I’m hooked on this. Lol!
