What happened to all the Kel-Tec SU-16 rifles out there?

I haven't tried the RFB, but was well acquainted with a number of different 5.56 bullpup models up until my tragic boating accident back in May.

I passed up a great price on a SU-16 tactical this week as I'm really after the original folder for a pack gun.

RFB is the 7.62 NATO bullpup, get one if you can - they're awesome. The RDB is the 5.56 :)

Actually sounds about right, and that's the problem.

I have the predator model. It's always my go-to 'grab in the night' take to the back bush ect.

It's not worth $1500. I wouldn't sell it for less, but who would pay that much?

There is a dislocation (or whatever you wanna call it) in the value of this rifle. It's worth more money than what anyone should pay for it, imo.

Great little rifle though. A CGNer had two up on EE awhile back, and snatching them both up was the smartest buy I've ever made on here, lol.

I was looking for one too. Local Gunstore has one has one in their used rack for $1550 !!

that previous may was insane: in the yukon we had a lot of accidents with boats while ice still on ...

With Kel-Tec you pay for innovation. Say what you will they do innovate, they do create new designs and they do bring new interesting things to the market.

They don't make a copy paste AR15, and they are not resting on their laurels. As much as it annoys me that the supply of Kel-Tec gats is never as high as I would like it to be they do invent and produce new innovative and different guns every year.

Then throw in the fact that they have a captured market here, we're so constrained with our choices that I imagine everything they sell to distributors here gets sold. I imagine they could sell at a higher price than they do.

had one and sold it to buy another gun i wanted. a good gun with a pl-sticky feel about it. always fired and ejected and was never a problem. as accurate as guns twice its price.

The floodgates opened up the other week on the EE. It seemed like everyone decided to sell theirs at the exact same time.

I keep thinking about putting mine up for sale as well, but it is such a neat little rifle.

In my opinion, in a "normal" world, $700 is what these things should go for used. That's pretty much what I paid and got for the few I've had over the years. But I finally caved, months and months after starting this thread, and paid a couple hundred bucks more than I was originally willing to for one that had a bunch of upgrades and was like new. I was surprised to see when I received it that the (original buyer's included) receipt said the new price was over $900, and even more surprised that the thing wasn't even a year old. I didn't think there were any new ones left in Canada.

So for the guys that are getting the ~$1400 and more they're asking for on the EE, I guess their investments are paying off.

sorry to bump it but any good feedback on the lastest version?

Theres not much more to say other then make absolute sure its covered by the lifetime warranty thru Vault Distributions before buying. And do not buy one used unless its like ridiculously cheap (> 500 bucks). Excluding the staked op rod thread the new ones are no different then the old ones.
