I’ve been on a research kick recently looking into all the different types of factory ammo/bullets available. Out of curiosity, let’s see some of the bullets everyone has recovered from animals.

Please post the caliber, weight, distance of the shot, as well as the type of bullet.

Too many to individually catalogue, but here are some C&C bullets, plus some
premiums [Bonded or Partitioned.]TSX/TTSX failed to expand 20141210_184341.jpg

This is the only Barnes I have recovered in over 25 one shot kills on deer.
120 yards base of the neck gong away, full weight retention of the 150 grain TSX out of my 303.
all others have been pass throughs, including the furthest over 350 yards.

20 ga Rem Accutip. 75 yards, 300 lb whitetail.

Just inside the hide on the exit side.

I got the barnes version of that, 20 gauge, savage 220f, 100 yards, broadside young antlerless elk, just under the hide opposite side also, the half inch bullet expanded perfectly to 1" star of death although I walked up to the elk to have it lift it's head and look at me, next one point blank went in along the nose, through the brain, and recovered in the first couple neck vertebrae didn't open up, just bent tip and followed the face bone. Barnes need a good broadside like smack to get doing their textbook thing, angling or lower velocity = unpredictable imo. I got to learn the barnes thing on one animal. ;)

Already have enough issues posting pics here so description is all you get right now. Eagle Eye has some amazing bullet collections. I've got a bunch recently of modern cup/core that be in a few chunks in offside about the 80% retention mark in the 200 yard range. Got several older accubonds recovered that are pretty nice looking, from close range end to end to longer range broadside.

ok I'll try, they are cool pics and since you posted my second choice the rem accutip version this should go here, hope it works

keeps saying my space is full, I made images tiny but still they won't upload, dm me if you want me to send to you via email? someone else can post them

mods? how do I clear my space to post pics?

It's probably worth stating that in the case of Nosler Partitions, I have
recovered only about 25% of the Partitions I have shot at game animals.
The rest were passthroughs, and were lost.
[two passthroughs were actually recovered]
One Accubond I took a muley with was hanging out of a hole in the off-
side hide. I spotted it when I rolled him to dress him. [280 Rem, 140 AB] EE

Here's a 12gauge Winchester partition gold sabot slug(300gr I think). I pulled it from far shoulder. 40 yard high shoulder shot. Been in my truck since last fall. It's a perfect mushroom, all petals are bend right around back touching each other.

Here's a 280g remington accu tip 20ga sabot. 75 yard shot pulled opposite shoulder.
