So why are none of us Hunters talking about the 30 x 30 Intiative?

I was wondering when a little more dots would connect on 'fire season'. Now's a good time to look at that. Ardent, you'll be busy for a few years yet. Funny how fire season was traditionally late July into august sort of thing. All of a sudden half the country starts on fire inside a 4 day window just after the snow melts. Nothing to see here.

More importantly the area Freeland just visited for the ESG initiative recently all of a sudden starts on fire just after the snow melts and not long after her sneaky visit to the area to try and expand and designate it further out of the reach of we the people to utilize.

Nothing is funnier than the news these days. Look to see how almost every subject is the same on all networks cycled on repeat and how almost all of them are somehow linked to climate change, even topics not even closely related. Look how they show the weather maps now, typical summer forecasts rolling over a bright red landscape and always trying to say the word 'climate change' in every little story. Those same forecasts used to roll over nice green calm backgrounds only a couple short years ago lol.

Heck this week was hilarious, saw the deer tick lyme disease story, the girl in middle of Montreal who never left the city, and the doctor that spoke about it right at the end of his little bought and paid for segment he squeaked in the 'rise of tick stuff due to climate change'...it's really good stuff, like spit your coffee out good! I love it. At least once a week I tune in to see all their little climate change tactics and angles. Pure gold. Will enjoy seeing liars like that doctor be held accountable at some point. We have a little ways to go yet before we get to that goodness though.

One of those things, once you know the game it's as obvious as a punch in the face.

It's an open book test now, try not to continue failing it.

All the information is now available. You now know where the bad info comes from so you have to go find new sources if you want to be informed instead of manipulated.

And don't steer the topic of this 30x30 initiative into something it's not, like it's for the animals etc. It's main goal right in its mission statement is 'in efforts to mitigate climate change'! We can't mitigate climate change. So what's the real goal?

For those at the back...again...

"30 by 30 (or 30x30) is a worldwide initiative for governments to designate 30% of Earth's land and ocean area as protected areas by 2030.[1][2] The target was proposed by a 2019 article in Science Advances, "A Global Deal for Nature: Guiding principles, milestones, and targets", highlighting the need for expanded nature conservation efforts to mitigate climate change.[3][4]"

+40 to +50C isn’t a consequence of arson, unfortunately. I’m not going to change your mind on climate change, don’t care to. I only care if you think protecting wild spaces and habitat matters. And if all the human caused habitat loss is a sham in your eyes, too. We agree on one thing, climate change is a runaway train, we just don’t agree if we’re taking a large part of the credit. I see protecting habitat as far more important, which is 30x30’s explicit goal.

You gotta skip the first two paragraphs on protecting biodiversity through habitat protection to get to that. I’m glad it’s a benefit of 30x30, that we don’t agree on that aspect makes no difference for if 30x30 protects habitat. That benefits both our views as hunters and outdoorsmen.

Why would you question my thinking that protecting wild species and habitat matters? Climate change is not a runaway train, it's a natural cycle that has been the reality since the dawn of time. You realize that trying to change climate change, is climate change, right? How do you know that global warming is not the only thing that will save us from another sudden ice age when the trend reverses? You don't.

Why do we never hear anything about water, the mother of all greenhouse gasses? We're supposed to ditch fossil fuels in exchange for unsustainable "sustainable" energy sources, but everyone is still boiling water. Why no ban on backyard fountains and swimming pools?

Have you sent your cheque yet?

I’ll ask again, directly, as we’re not going to agree on climate change and that’s fine.

Do you believe protecting wilderness and habitat is a dumb idea, and that wildlife is doing just fine globally?

We won't agree on climate change because you haven't offered anything to agree with. I'd love to believe that the WEF is a beneficent society of lovers of all things on Earth. Please, convince me, it would be such a relief.

Protecting wilderness and habitat is crucial. I don't know how wildlife is doing globally. How do you measure how wildlife is doing globally? Your silly attempt at a "gotcha" is just that, silly. Let me ask you directly - do you think that chasing bank robbers and rapists is a dumb idea?

Do you think it's a good thing that the bison were all but wiped out? What about cows and elk, should we cull them all? Apparently they're destroying the planet. If you think that cows, elk and bison have a right to exist, then you hate the planet, right? Lol.

Seriously, you trying to demonize me by implying that I hate wilderness and wildlife because I don't take the WEF at their word, or believe that we actually need a globalist cabal of tyrants to "help us see the error of our ways and fix the wilderness" is really quite disappointing.

Well that’s a simple one, have species lost range and habitat at a massive rate in recent history, the answer is undeniably yes. On every continent, and typically drastically. It’s why Americans booked hunts with me, it was already gone in the last century or two where they came from. In some cases in only the last fifty years.

Some feel that’s all well and good, I don’t as I love wildlife, wilderness, hunting, fishing, and what they bring.

Oh good. Someone who doesn't even understand the water cycle, or how increased Temps directly impact the amount of water the atmosphere can hold... I'll explain it for you. The amount of water in the atmosphere at a given temperature is more or less a fixed quantity. Evaporation can only take you to 100% humidity (with rare exceptions), after that it rains and returns to the surface as liquid water, creating a relatively stable system. Until you increase the temperature that is - at that point you also increase the amount of water the air can hold. As you note, water is a potent GHG, and that warmer air can now hold more of it. As you can see below, as temps go above 60f the amount of water that air can hold increases rapidly. This is what we call a positive feedback loop, and its not good.

As for climate change, it is not the change that is the issue. It is the RATE OF CHANGE. Note how the graph gets steeper as we get closer to the year 2000.

Pre-industrial revolution there was a period of about 2800 years where scientists believe sea level was pretty much static. Before that there was a period of sea level rise, but at a rate of 1/2mm a year over 400+ years. Today we're seeing rates of 3.5mm a year, or 7 times the rate of the last period where sea levels rose consistently over time. Sea level rise that would have taken a century in pre-industrial times is now happening in less than 1.5 decades.

So, we're at 100% humidity and there's no point trying to limit our H2O emissions then, because it will all just end up on the floor. Got it. Lol.

Good thing we have carbon taxes that can slow the rate of change. Whew!

Have you sent WEF a cheque yet?

Has every continent sent WEF a cheque yet, or is it just up to us to send cheques while China keeps building coal fired power plants?

That's a fairly simplistic method of measure. If they were already gone a century or two ago then it certainly couldn't have been due to gas guzzler emissions. Don't forget, the entire raison d'etre of 30-30 is climate change, not conservation. Conservation is a means to an alleged end. (Edit: a $140 Billion a year means.)

As far as Canada is concerned, I bet we can protect 70% without causing any hardship to civilization. So what do we need to send money to WEF for? Why not spend it here?

You probably have a few up there but f they're bad down here near the us border. Seen 2 and killed one just now.Might have to see if they still sell those green incense spirals. Haven't been like this before. But everything is growing like the beanstalk in that story though. I think it's got to do with global warming

After looking at this thread I don't think I believe in anything

lol, good, it's a lot to take in, so you have to feel your way through it all, your gut will lead the way if you can hear it

I watched the news with coffee again this morning and it's going to be a warm one here so almost the entire hour was spent in red and climate change this and climate change that. The best part though was when they had someone on the beat catch up to a dog walker to interview her and discuss what she does with the dog for the hot days etc. and she kept asking leading questions trying to get her to say it's getting worse etc. and admit to climate change but the gal walking her dog said oh no they will take all we can get here as the season is so short. LMFAO...atta girl.

The entire country coast to coast is lit on fire to push a fear narrative as they are in a hurry to ram all these initiatives through and get us where they want us. You can continue to scoff that there's no way the chess board of life isn't many levels and the levers of power don't have the ability to hit any level or make any move whenever they want. All the info to back these statements is available now.

Update for those on how the voting works. Toronto mayoral election. Media black out persists on the only candidate that comes from outside the political spectrum and fights for the people and freedom, who was correct about every single step over the past 3 years is now having all his signs taken down all over the area, not down but taken completely. There's little army putting them back up, now they will be in camera protected spots to see who's doing it...the other candidates signs are being left up. One of the reports from one witnessing said city crew was taking them down. You should really watch this. Election interference and manipulating the people through the microphone to only one or two candidates is very real and you get to watch it live right now. They tried to keep him from even getting to Toronto to start campaigning. There are still cops making it hard for him to move around, repeated pull overs, citations he has to fight and beat in court and always does, arrests followed by dropped charges to delay him from getting to events. They've also now had debate organizers of the big debates tell him he will be invited etc. and then ghost him and his team before the event. It's all being recorded of course as it will be followed up on but here's your chance to learn more about the people you think have your best interests at heart and how they really work.

Keep playing dumb, keep looking elsewhere, the creek is right in front of you but apparently you're just not thirsty enough eh? Rather take swipes at the side that has been correct all along. That's some powerful programming isn't it. Watch that election. It will give you great insight into how 'we vote' lol and how we can vote our way out of this mess lol. When you see how the media/govt. works together like it is right now in Toronto then it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to look at the news cycle going absolutely haywire on climate change while the country started on fire from coast to coast simultaneously. You should really try to figure this out instead of taking swipes as those who were right all along.

Try to remember what these same people behind these narratives just did the past 3 years...trust the science pushers. Same people just lied to use for 3 years, same microphone, starting fires is a lot easier than convincing people to lock themselves in their homes, shutters their businesses, wear masks and inject themselves with experimental substances. Not sure how you can still listen to those liars after that but it is the same people behind the climate thing, the 30x30 thing, the cei/dei/esg thing, the elections thing. Wakey wakey

So ####ing close to sounding it out here...

The further this goes, the further it unravels.

Conspiracies get an added layer of conspiracies to explain themselves, it becomes more logical greatly extended fire seasons are being orchestrated purposefully to… what is it again? Prop up the goals of a left so much more effective and intelligent than ourselves they can control our lives and thoughts…?

Or perhaps, pumping untold millions of years of stored carbon back into the atmosphere in a century has consequences. Perhaps… our thirst for resources really is damaging wild places and wildlife at record pace, and perhaps a human lifetime is utterly non-existent for a timescale to observe the rate of changes we’re seeing.

Perhaps… our species is incredibly near sighted, and we could do much better and still live well. Or maybe it’s all just politics and talking heads. A lot more convenient and easier to rationalize that way.

was musing the same thing, while we straighten out this little piece of the puzzle it reminds me just how far behind some people are in this, like years behind, you have no idea what's coming, you better seriously grab some gears and dig in if you wanna be able to see the future as well as the group you make fun of does

still think you're first, even after all that...lmfao

Early voting has opened, Chris Soccoccia voters already having trouble with the machines. "Your ballot has not been counted. Please contact a poll worker. Please follow local procedures for clearing a ballot." LOL, they can't even register a vote for him...nothing to see here right?

Go ahead guys, learn how we can vote our way out of this mess. It's happening live. Don't pass up this opportunity to see how it really works and has been going our whole lives. It's pretty important.

The pair or three of you are getting shown the abc's while the group that was correct all this time is already going into high school. That's how far behind you are. Get to work. It's important.

It's funny, I've lived in the interior of BC most of my life, in one of the hottest places and the high temps aren't even close to those from the 90's or the Records from the 60's or even those from 1900-1950. Apparently it is too hard to convert numbers like 108° F. So they'll claim 40° C is a record. When someone lit Lytton on fire to burn down the Doctors Office we were 3-4° cooler than temps I've seen in my lifetime.

I bet I could plunk a thermometer in spots that would hit 50C. These are the shenanigans that have been going on, for example the claim that the Okanagan has warmed up enough for grapes is because the Station was moved to over 100 feet lower elevation.

Brings to mind the Afrika Korp propanganda, they couldn't get an egg to fry on a tank so the put a torch under it.
