XCR pic in 7.62x39

did you not read what was said, our xcr's up here cost 1750 USD down south. $1995 is 245$ more. Now I paid 2390$ for mine, but had one of the first 25 in the country, and didn't mind paying that one bit. I like the xcr better than the PE90. to each his own.

If it doesn't take an AK mag, it is worthless.

I guess this would be true for 30rd mags but since we are limited to 5 rounds this is NOT and issue . There are already AR style mags that feed 5 ( 10 actually if it was legal ) rounds of 7.62 X 39 flawlessly

See below. Notice the floorplate angle compared to a standard AR mag

7.62x39 is nice and cheap but i would be a bit wary of throwing it (as the cheap stuff is corrosive) through a $2000 gun. Why not just get a vz then? The .308 would be really useful because it can be a hunting toy :)

We should also note that the reason we get the rifles in the configuration we do (at $1750 US) instead of the cheaper config, is that the US Government will not allow the folding stock + 16" barrels to be exported.

THe C-product mag for the XCR is kinda there - the curve of the mag is very abrupt. Making sure that fully loaded mag sit into the magwell is going to be rough.

These are also reasonably priced in the U.S. at about $15 each.

You couldn't pay me to use U.S.A. brand mags.

I have heard bad things about their (USA Magazines Inc.) mags. A friend of mine had purchased four 20rd AR mags back in the day, and none worked well.

TRG,
Do you have any first had experience with the 7.62x39 mags? Just wondering where the info is coming from regarding that these particular USA Mags work 'flawessly'.

Too bad they think the magazine that serves the best and most popular rifle of this type isn't good enough for their gun. Robinson guns are good but their line of thinking is bad.

The truth is probably that their feeding system is not compatible with the AK mags unless with very drastic redesign of the receiver and barrel extension.
