IN-STOCK: All-New TYPE 81 SR

Just ordered 10 more mags. I also requested a replacement stock as I was on the list already.

I don't mind if you guys throw the stock in with the order and save yourself some shipping, or maybe it doesn't work that way.
 
What list do you have to be on to get the replacement stock?
I got a rifle from the first batch and would like the replacement stock for it

Order placed and requested new stock be included (bought a T81 SR in the original batch ) , that $20 shipping made me order a little bit more too heh (who doesn't need more mags though ??)
 
Got my replacement stock. Looks good and comes with the hardware including a drill bit.

I hope someone makes a video on how to install this.

I’m mechanically inclined but I’m not sure how I’d drill a straight hole for the two side pins. Drill press? I don’t have one.

Regardless, I’m not in any hurry and will wait for someone to provide definitive instructions.

Mine suppose to arrive today but I went to the PO they told me the item is not in their store and they don't know where it is currently, it maybe lost.
Anyways, could you post a picture of the stock body? I'm kinda curious to see the difference bewteen the gen1 and gen2 stock. Thanks.
 
Sorry Jason. I’m not tech savvy enough to post pics.

I had the idea to cut the broken piece off my old stock, the portion that fits in the receiver, and use those holes to pilot the drill bit into the new stock. I dunno. Just a thought.

My old stock is glued together and has a bolt through the back top, much like this new design. It’s holding well so I’m not in a hurry to cut it up, especially since there is a good chance I might damage this new stock aligning those pins.

I’ll wait for a couple CGN wood working ninjas to come forward.

Oh no worries, the PO just called me this morning it was let on the vehicle.

Yeah I'm going to live with the old stock until it breaks. I'm not doing serious hunting with it so should not be a problem.

broken screw

Unpacked my new stock and this dropped out ofthe stock , snapped off when they assembled it . dont think it will cause a problem but it still sucks https://ibb.co/DRvpNY4

Seems the screw head is broken off. I'm not sure what is the purpose of this screw. Maybe just for securing the bottom cap.
The overall stock design is a mystery. There can be a long screw thread in from the bottom handle to the receiver, or there can be more meat in front of the stock since there's still plenty of space

I would think that that screw helps the wood from splitting.
