The most expensive gun I have ever shot!

It seems to me that sometime in the last 6-12 months (?) Jonny made an announcement that the channel was leaving TGS (as a promotional vehicle) and he was setting up an independent (from TGS) channel for the videos.

Yeah, and I thought that was Longthorne-related. I'm all mixed up over this who's who with who, but see my comments about any of them having a paywall.

If memory serves he said that they were setting up the channel as TGS Proofhouse but it seems to have not been as dramatic a change as it seemed when he announced it.

It might well be argued that I'm spending too much time thinking about TGS is up to, but at the end of this video, I noticed that Jon is wearing an Orvis ballcap, an aha moment for me- Orvis has a toe in all right. I can't help it, I like the show's style. Showing I have restraint, I'm not embedding the video.

Also, I posted a pretty good video of Jon attending an Italian hunting products fair in the Hunting! forum here.

Finally, I've since figured out that some of the TGS stuff is behind a paywall because they have a paid membership now. No, I am not that enthusiastic.

The ball cap could be from his recent hunts in the states at Orvis sponsored clubs.
There are new videos under the tgs title as well as the proofhouse. There's also extra videos that are for members only. Those members also get access to other promotional content and exclusives.
Longthorne is still an affiliate of both

Speaking of Longthorne....a fellow shooter has one he was fitted for in the fall and received last winter. It has more failure to fires than all the rest of the shotguns owned by others combined over the past 4 or 5 months. Longthorne sent him new firing pins and springs and failure to fires were still a problem the one time I shot with him after the new parts were installed. Various ammo brands never fixed the problem either as that was the first fix Longthorne recommended.

The owner shoots it well when it fires but his certainly is a gun that causes him much consternation. It needs to go back to England and get fixed for good.....not a good showing so far for an expensive custom shotgun. And yes it likely the most expensive gun I've ever shot yet i wouldn't trade an old Model 12 for it at this stage of its lemon flavored life.

Failures to fire in a brand new custom shotgun? Well that's disillusioning.

Pro Tip: If you embed the video I can watch it at work. I mean, people I know that appreciate this sort of thing can watch it at work.

Well here it is, for all those people who appreciate that sort of thing. I assume you mean this video, I mean that they do.

And hey, I just noticed that Jon is talking in dollars and not pounds! The dollar still rules!
