I originally posted this in the PPC section thinking it was the pistols section.

I am interested to know what guns are still "available" that are handguns but not registered as handguns. Along the lines of the Skorpion, the BRS99 and the B&T TP9. I know there are a few of these out in the wild in Canada, some restriced and some non. I know there are some other designs as well. I have always been a sucker for the 70's and 80's style "machine pistols" but I do not have one in my collection. A void that needs to be filled.

Yeah you're right - PCC is not the term, as we're really talking about Canadian legal definitions. Restricted rifles that happen to be usable with one hand, then?

Yeah, they kind of fit into a grey area. Like the polish UZI, the BRS99. FIRC they used to be sold in a set that came with a 5"? and a Non restricted barrel as well. With the short barrel and the stock collapsed / removed it is hardly a carbine.
The Skorpion VZ61 was available as a restricted non-handgun, I would hardly call that a carbine either. Machine pistol? PDW?
