Looking for a gunsmith to check over my Ruger Red Hawk 4.2" Doesn't matter what I reload it shoots all over the place. Where my other Ruger Super Black Hawk 7.5" Does pretty good. Hoping to find someone that specializes in them that's located in Alberta so I can drop it off in person.im even willing to help out if I have too. Learn a thing or two. Any recommendations is highly appreciated. Thanks

Check with Dean Larson in Edmonton area. I don't have his card handy for the phone number, but you should be able to find it with google or similar. - dan

If you are shooting reloads , go buy some factory ammo.
While I shoot reloads, I would never use reloads when working on or checking a gun.
Factory ammo will give you a base line to work from.
Have you checked for a leaded barrel, & timing. Have a good look at the crown and f.cone.

Yes I have tried 3 different factory loaded ammo. 2 where bad(6"-8" Group) at 20 yards.the other one was the best of everything of 3-4". When I tried leaded bullets I notice the first 1" of the barrel is in tbe frame would get heavily leaded then nothing. I would scrub the hell out of it then fire a few copper plated ones to get the rest out. To me the f.cone looks like hardly nothing for degrees. Be nice to Mic the barrel
