I know these aren't new and there has been a bit of discussion on them here before. I just ordered one for a Beretta 1301 Comp, looking forward to trying it out.

One comment here was that spring tension was critical, but haven't actually seen a lot of other feedback.

Anybody here install one in a Beretta? Anything specific I should be aware of when installing?

I have one on a Versamax and it works well.

It wasnt straightforward though, when I first installed it the timing was off due to too much spring tension in the magazine tube and it would jam up constantly.

I played around with shorter magazine springs (cut down) and found a "sweet spot" where the spring still had enough tension to function correctly and it was timed correctly.

Sounds easy enough, can't wait to try it out. Now I need to practice quad loading.

Debating getting the loading port modified as well....

Opening up the loading port is a must have IMO. An A&S enhanced trigger guard was a darned nice upgrade too - link

Quad loading takes practice and is all about the "grab" - if initial grab is correct then everything works smoothly but if it is a little off then it can quickly go to pieces.

Before getting the autoloader kit if the gun run dry the bolt would lock back so the first quad load involved dropping a round in the ejection port then hitting the bolt release to unlock the gate before loading the other 3 rounds left in your hand, takes practice but works very well.

Of course the autoloader kit means the gate is still accessible even on a locked bolt and the gun will load the first round after you get the first two in the tube.

I've been twin loading my current 1301, using 12-shell caddies from taccom3g. Guess I need to upgrade my gear haha. Should have bought quad caddies in the beginning maybe, but here we are...

Eliminating the need to charge with the first shell is my reason for getting the kit. I'm not competitive but looking for any way I can get myself faster.

Of course, reloading before running empty is something I've also been working on while moving between targets.

Easier said than done:d

I do compete and sometimes thew fastest way is to run the gun to empty (maybe a certain array dictates that is the most efficient way), other times it may not be planned (maybe due to a make up shot or two).

Either way with shotgun getting rounds in the gun efficiently makes a heck of a difference. The autoloader kit helps but I have trained enough doing it the other way that its almost as fast.

I'm still dealing with it. I had the product installed by a gunsmith. It never functioned and I had bought the better springs as they suggested. I asked for a refund as it had only been tested with dummy shells and they refused even though their website says they will give a refund. They would not accept the gunsmiths work and told me to wait 3 weeks to talk to them on the phone from the UK and they could get it working! They are extremely out of touch with reality and extremely rude. I saved all my messages and have been going through at this point 5 months of credit card bull#### to get a refund. I paid for the shippings and professional install and just there lost around $200. Live and learn. You want that feature and to be gamey for 3gun buy a used Browning A5 Stalker 3.5" and get it modified. Pricey but it'll have that feature and get you a 7th legal shell.

Installed pretty easy. Loaded dummy shells a few times to check function (too early to bother neighbors with noise) and a couple times the lifter closed the bolt as soon as a shell touched it. Reset and retry, functioned properly most of the time but it did happen a couple times.

Will update with progress.
