Scope seems old too, wondering if its original to the rifle , there is no serial number on the rifle. shot it yesterday and it was super accurate . Any ideas on age and value?

Check the safety on it.
Set the sear.
Engage safety.
Pull trigger.
Disengage safety.
If it fires, be careful with it.

Check the chamber for clear first.

Nice score.
$450 seems about right.

The older 69A's had the S, L, & LR in full words.

As far as the grooved receiver goes, it could of been done by a gunsmith.

The rifles with the grooved receiver for mounting scopes were only available in the latter years of production prior to the 69A being discontinued.
There have been a couple of articles in recent magazines of the past year that were about the Model 69A and can provide better historical information. Will need to go through the stack to find the magazine and date of issue.
$300 seems to be a good price, if everything is in working order. They are very accurate rifles. Had one as a kid that a friend of our grandparents gave us. Spent many hours shooting and hunting with that rifle. Small targets out to 100 yards weren't safe! Shorts, or LR...didn't much matter as both shot well. CCI Quiet ammo is great for hunting ruffies!
Have another now that I hope to teach grandchildren to shoot and hunt with someday.

Also had one with the factory peep sight at one point. Back to the model without the peep, and love it as it is the same as the one we had as a kid.

I like it. Very nice. Not that it matters (to me anyway) but the stock kind of looks like it was refinished at one point. Could just be the lighting in the pics though.
