I got the same gun today and took it out to a range.
This is my first gun, I am still learning accuracy and shooting in general.
Also I don't have bi-pod yet (it's on my wish list)
Anyhow, results on 50yd are not great but still my first results
Holding and aiming a gun on my elbows, without a bi-pod was quite a challenge.

Eugene - Good shooting for 'elbows'!! Made me break down and go 'Bi' The Chinesium-Atlas on amazon is pretty good. I just got one in May and the only thing is the swivel/cant 'lock-knob' needed some Loctite so it wouldn't 'un-tighten'. Looks OK on my V-MTR - Now just fine with it 'snug' but non-locked. Though I don't have the rail at the bottom of the stock, the one under the link seems to be for the rail. I like the simplicity of this bi. Not bad at all for your first time shooting, you should be able to get a decent bipod at Canadian tire, I have one I use when sighting in all my “traditional” rifles

Finally got my scope mounted and had to drive all the way to Saskatoon to get my ruger out but. What a beauty day! Hopefully everyone else had a nice day!
Nice looking rifle I’ve got an American ranch I absolutely love
I’ll see if I can find the target i sighted in with, it likes Norma tac22 and mini mags. Everything else is pretty inconsistent, I was sad as I had a couple bricks of sk I was saving and it didn’t like the sk at all the Norma is cheap tho so that’s good!

Looks like minimags were grouping well
