I’ve diversified my Sig x5 legion.
Since elTurd started his Fire sale our options are nil to very slim :bangHead: .
I enjoy my x5 legion and now I’ve add the option to go Irons or Dot.
So I purchased the Max Michel upper by Sig Custom Works.
This is a complete upper, slide barrel striker and Romeo 3 Max optic.
It’s a Lego fit.
These uppers are tested on a M17 lower that’s mounted to a Ransom computer test Rest at the
Sig testing facility.
So a hint hint.
My FCU that’s been upgraded operates as per original slide.
I Have yet to fire it and adjust the Dot.
So now it’s a simple step to change from Irons to a Dot.
Hopefully a new FCU in the future and build a lower at that time.

Congrats on the score! The 320MAX upper is certainly reasonably priced for anyone already has a X5 Legion. I just wish it was the gold barreled version like their "limited edition" counterpart in the USA.

Quick range report:
Max slide : Romeo 3Max -6moa
Campro 124RN. W231 4.5gr CCI primer
Dot set at 20 yards. =it’s a big dot. Nice .75”grouping.
Legion slide: Stock Irons
Same ammo and distance pretty much repeat grouping size.
Took some squinting for old eyes to adjust and get a good sight picture.
But good enough for my standards.
Sides were exchanged while on rest simple to do.
Ransom Rest,with P320 X, grip module.
^Stand^ bolted to shelf that was C clamped to shooting bay walls.

Thanks for the heads up! Hmm guess is a USA thing. Looks sweet.

I have not shot that model.
I have the 6mm dot on my vortex, while it is great for fast steel challenge, with a 1911-45.
For bulls eye shooting , which is mainly my thing, the 3mm dot is better for me at distance.
I turned down the brightness, it helped quite a bit with the 6mm dot.

have been toying with the idea of mounting it on my revolver , maybe just because?

Another sweet Sig slide option this is nice! (see link.)
SPECTRE COMP SLIDE ASSEMBLY, GOLD BARREL,
Looks like Sig is responding to plight of there Canadian customers.
Back in January I contacted sig Teck support,, regarding if a Max slide option was available for a X-5
I was told it was not available and they were unsure it would work. I just wanted a bare slide.
3 tecks on the phone for a 1/2 hr as they fumbled with guns and parts, yea it works was the response.
Kinda sad Teck support didn’t know the versatility design of their product.
Damn Wish I had gotten a couple of FCU’s

It just seems so strange that they would go through that. The mix and matching is what makes this platform so amazing...

I started out with a black M17 last summer...

Great great analysis brother (and super cool builds:). It's always fascinating to see these numbers in granular detail and parallel to each other. We definitely need more of this type of content on the forums!

Cheers
