CZ Bren 2 MS NON-Restricted MAJOR UPDATE Post 587

Anyone else seeing shipment sitting in Ottawa for a couple days now? Could just be in transit and not scanned yet I guess

Antsy.

Antsy.

Went through the same thing, nothing to worry about but your own anticipation. The box is wrapped in unmarked cardboard...to the postal workers it might as well be a muffler.

Just got mine this morning. Installed the 13.8” handguard, Hbi trigger and Hbi offset charging handle. Just a word advice to those installing the trigger Do Not Let the Safety Cam fall out of the lower when pulling the safety lever out. It will cause major headaches trying to get it back in.

HB Industries has a really really good step-by-step installation video for this on YouTube, which made mine a breeze.

Trigger is significant upgrade for the money. Offset charging handle is the way to go too. The flared magwell is a nice / easy upgrade.

I was very much on the fence around the 13.8" vs 15.8" hand guards but I found the 13.8" is sufficient to hold with a straight support arm & thumb over bore grip (and I'm pretty tall with long arms).

The only thing I dislike slightly is the ambidextrous safety (I would prefer a left side only safety as the right side kinda rubs on my hand).

Finally got mine out to the range yesterday. Had a few problems on the regular gas setting. Not feeding another round after a shot, some stovepipes, bolt not locking back after the last round. Switched to the adverse gas setting and it ran without problem. Thoughts? A break in issue? Ammo? Did the same with two types of ammo (Barnaul steel cased and surplus ammo). Or does it need to be looked at?

Could be break in (new / tight).

I'd try feeding it some regular ammo with brass cases on normal gas setting and gauge from there.

Try alternate magazines as well.

I had the same thing happen with barnaul in mine. Never happened with brass though. Probably new gun shooting crappy ammo.
